Antonov 12 ??
Twice in the last week I've heard what sounded like a heavy Turboprop passing overhead,I was quick enough to have a look on FR24 to see it was a Ukranian AN12.The 1st was Dublin to Prague flying at about 13000' at 330kts.The 2nd was Prague to Dublin flying at about 12000' at 290kts.Is this a regular route ? When I've heard Turboprops in the past I've alway assumed it was USAF or RAF Hercules/Atlas traffic.Mildenhall and Woodbridge are quite close to here.

AN-12s (and the odd AN-26) are pretty common "tramp" freighter visitors to the UK. I've heard a couple overfly here in the last couple of days, both Ukrainian. Weather too grotty to see them!

Cavok Air AN-12s are virtually a daily overfly here near Orange in France, en route from Ghardaia in Algeria most frequently to Eindhoven.
Yesterday we had the added interest of SNECMA/Bristol Hercules engines as the last airworthy Nord Noratlas bumbled its way from Aix-en-Provence to Grenoble where it's displaying this week end.

Just walking across Kenley aerodrome and one, UR-CAK, is grumbling it's way eastward to Dover. Magnificent moon rise they must be getting a terrific view!
