The problem you have is that it seems our Boy Wonder actually genuinely believes 1000% that he can save Jet, can launch Atmosfarce Intercontinental, can save dogs - if only we'd all help him!!!!! I think that "intent to defraud" is simply not on his mind and that he genuinely feels he could do all the above - if given the right backing! I mean this guy writes to PMs, CEOs of major airlines, heads of national Aviation Authorities and major Banks pleading with them to help him save the world! His world includes a realm of fantasy which, to him, seems to be "reality". Don't forget, do not, whatever you do, apply normal logic here! At least true fraudsters have a vestige of common sense and some rather more realistic aims!!!

But I agree with you dc9-32 that, despite there being no attempt to "defraud" in the legal sense, people are falling for the madness of it all! And that is a worry. To be fair, it's a worry who some of the people are who are being swept up in his madness - journalists publishing news of his "bids" in so-called "Business Websites" who, clearly, do no journalistic "due diligence" before they publish. Actually, that does not reflect well on them as journalists - and it only serves to add credibility to the madness. Still, when did a "good story" in the media ever have anything to do with the truth??????!!!! At least that seems to have trailed off.........

If you go back over this thread, how to stop him has been discussed on many, many occasions and, a while back, I was in touch with a few PPRuNers via PM where we tried certain things - none of which have been successful. I'm not going to discuss details on here for obvious reasons. Sadly, those who should be doing things don't see it as priority or even a need in some cases. I'll say no more. But, by all means, take it up with whoever. At least we can highlight on here what the situation is - maybe Search Engines will lead a few folk here. My last, rather flippant Post, is based on what has gone before - tho the bit about my haircut was all true!!!! Mrs H 'n' H was well impressed with "the 'new' H 'n' H!" as she put it. Sadly, the "brownie points" for the haircut were totally countered by some other "crime" I'd managed to commit that day so I was still well and truly submerged in it! What's that saying? "Always in the sh1t, just the depth that varies!!!"
It's over a year since I did my research/investigation into the sorry saga, and it is still quite a high performer on my blog, so hopefully that is stemming the access to PR as unsuspecting journalists hit google.... and get me!

Oh and on the "fraud" front? It's already proven within my articles, and conversations with officials. Stansted denied any knowledge - he stopped claiming to have slots/landing rights. The leasing firm in Thailand denied any dealings - he stopped claiming that too. Qatar had never heard of him - he stopped claiming they were backers. The Indian CAA confirmed his bid last year was unsolicited, unsubstantiated and disregarded upon receipt.

Making claims in order to entice investment is attempting to obtain funds by deception - or to put it another way, fraud. At the very least, it's a conspiracy to do so.

I stand by my suggestion the Police should intervene not least to have a word. That alone will stop him because he may then realise the law is watching.

Morning Diffs and dc9-32! Hope all is well. I fully agree with all the above, it's just the element of "intent" which is debatable. You (Diffs) and I have chatted a bit in the past so we certainly come from the same page, it's just that I think BW really and genuinely believes this is all going to realise his dream (whatever it happens to be at the time; dogs, Atmospharce or Jet), all of which seem to be for the good of others (jobs for people, saved dogs, etc). In that sense, I see him being quite genuine, yep, deluded, but genuine in what he thinks he really could achieve.

But the fact any moneys handed over will not be returned (with or without "investment growth") is absolutely plain to see. But I'd suspect he'd not be out buying Ferraris - tho he may use the funds in his family battles with the UK Government. However, even that he appears to see as something of a "moral crusade" which would benefit everyone in his position and so, from his POV, it would be entirely legit to be so funded with a view to repaying it later. Don't forget our logic is irrelevant here. So it's a bit like the difference between "murder" and "manslaughter" - the end result is the same (a dead body), but they are two different things.

As for the police, I would not be surprised if this has not already happened dc9-32. He has been hassling Politicians over this and that for a while and made some almost threatening comments. I would not be surprised if he has not, at the very least, been placed on their radar. Whether they have done anything about it is another thing as, of course, while we probably feel it more keenly (being associated with Aviation), in the grand scheme of things, he may just be considered a "low risk" odd-ball! Sadly, our BW is not the only one of his type - there are loads of people with all sorts of delusions walking our streets every day. Just that they don't have his determination to try and see their delusions realised. And, to him, a stern talking to by the police would probably simply see him launching himself at the Home Office claiming that the Government were now deliberately trying to derail his plans to save [insert here whatever it is he is trying to save at that time] through the use of "Police thuggery"! You'll just not win with him!!!!!

Seriously, as has been said before, proper care is what is needed. I suspect nowt else will work and is what is needed - for all party's sakes - his as well. Anyway, just my thoughts and we could talk semantics endlessly!! I think we all agree it's sheer madness which, on occasion, has caught people out. Cheers, H 'n' H

Couldn't agree more dc9-32, both the Police and local trading standards would suffice I'd say in this instance. The threat of action, and the severity of the consequences of conviction should be enough to put anyone off.

Indeed H 'n' H, the simple conclusion is that the lad is deluded. Sadly, as has been pointed out numerous times previously, this is clearly a mental health issue, less an outright attempt to defraud. The problem is, there will be very little sympathy from anyone that happens to lose out as a result of these antics. I understand the argument of "well, he's not hurting anybody". However, where do you draw the line? Some people have been taken in by the crap. Some media outlets have published this nonsense. He is submitting false tenders to governments (who are rightly seeing through them).

The Boy Wonder's latest tweet shows that he is as deluded as ever. He has seemed fit to attack people who have pointed out his lies and fantasies by claiming that they had harassed him and made false accusations about him.

I do agree - it's just I'm not so sure that it would have that effect. After all, we are not talking about "anyone" - as in "your average person" - when referring to the BW. We are in danger of applying normal logic to the situation!!! That won't do at all!!!

I believe certain steps were taken, or were considered by a few who had been affected but they all gave up. You yourself Diffs did a lot of good work as well.

Anyway, how have I got myself sucked back into this topic again? A right "moth to a flame" I am!!!!!!!! I'm outta here!!!! Good luck! H 'n' H

Jason Unsworth the gift who keeps on giving. Only a deluded idiot like him thinks now is a good time to launch or relaunch an airline. Airlines and other travel companies are cutting jobs right left and centre but he had decided that with his wealth of experience (6 months as a check in clerk) that now is the time.

@skydiver69 - Great time to start (again) for Jason. With any luck, he has gone back to Primark and been able to work overtime folding shirts giving him a bit more dosh in the pocket to pick up cheaper aircraft and employees.

Another duff headline from the Beeb - Flybe are NOT SET to fly again. Not until they get AOC, routes, planes, crew. Not at all certain, is it?

An opinion I expressed on the Thread back in R&N earlier. The key phrase used was "One source said the process was at a "very premature stage"." ....... which is probably the understatement of the Century!!!!!

But, of course, when did such trivial matters such as "reality" ever dampen our illustrious JU's enthusiasm????? This would seem to be just up his street!

Followers of our hero will be pleased to hear he soldiers on, undaunted by the selection of other Jet Airways bidders.

Here he is, asking STN and LHR for slots - by tweet!

Sadly shows yet again his lack of industry knowledge - slots are not managed by major airports, they are managed by ACL.....

"We are trying to secure slots"
No, Jason, if anyone is trying to secure slots, that would be Jet Airways. It has nothing to do with you. There is no "we".

Someone at Jet needs to deal with this insanity. BW is just barmy enough to try and sign contracts for them, and that won't end well for any involved party. This is Walter Mittyism at its very worst.

The American Heritage Dictionary defines a Walter Mitty as "an ordinary often ineffectual person who indulges in fantastic daydreams of personal triumphs"
Hard to better that definition in this case.
