Wx problems at AMS this morning. Quite likely the KLM was an oceanic flight which would normally overfly MAN and which, for operational reasons, made an early decision to divert prior to destination. It happens not only to MAN but plenty of other airports. Brussels got a bunch of AMS diversions this morning too. Nothing unusual.
I was watching the KLM on FR24, and it made the turn for Manchester just off the Northumbrian coast, and abrupt almost 90deg turn right off the typical track down The North Sea. Hence my question on this forum section about something happening at EHAM with short-ish notice.
The afore mentioned KL676 seems to be just out of MAN (2120) dest AMS, eleven hours after arr. at MAN this morning! Snow showers and lots of thunder at AMS at the moment but sitting just under the approach at Weesp there are still arrivals.
