With ships they traditionally nail a writ to the main mast.
What's the equivalent with aircraft? Sellotape it to the MLG and hope the dozy co-Joe does a proper job of his/her pre-flight inspection?

I was just thinking that the Local Debts would go wider than to airport, LBC with Company Rates / Taxes etc. Did MON own the HO Building....?

Having a shufti at FR24 a bit before midnight last night I saw what claimed to be an N-reg Cessna 172 climb out of Luton and head west, ending up at FL380 and 450kt. Had me scratching my head a bit.

What you observed on FR24 was Miami Air B738 N732MA sending a duff ICAO24.
It's been about quite a bit over the last few days, probably doing Monarch repatriation flights.

the lone 738 has now gone too from BHX - was a Pegasus a/c but it has not as yet gone back to them

I'm afraid you're incorrect. Numerous (ex) Monarch pilots are positioning these aircraft. Yes, of course they're no longer Monarch pilots but they were a few days ago and are now doing these flights effectively as a contractor for the lessor/administrator.
A bit of confusion here - yes, it's gone to Maastricht, but it didn't actually leave BHX until just after 8pm yesterday evening.
Noted on Mode S using its reg as Flight ID, so no indication of whose crew was flying it.

B737 G-ZBAV departed Maastricht for Woensdrecht this morning. Presumably came to MST because Woensdrecht was closed by 6PM or so yesterday. Seems strange not to just fly BHX-WOE this morning.

According to Jethro G-OZBW/BX G-ZBAD/AH/AM/AS, G-MARA & G-OJEG have been deregistered, but not sure what the new regs are for these aircraft, unless they've been kept the same.
All the above were re-registered on 5-6/10 to assorted banks and lessors, but still with their original UK marks.
