That picture is not very accurate. The aircraft are matte grey and no where near as reflective as the picture. I was very against the new livery and couldn't believe they got rid of the old icons one. But it has really grown on me and their new A321 and 777-300ERs look stunning.

If you google it you should find a link to a discussion on airliners dot net which covered the whole think. It was pretty interesting.

Not just a case of having been posted before but a fair number of the fleet are already flying in the new livery. You must get out and about more often Underfire. Just joking with you

I've seen 'em on the ramp. I'm not a fan. Too many airlines (BA, AF, AA...) are now using some version of red/white/blue stripes with varying 'wave' patterns. Why can't they use something IMMEDIATELY recognizable?!?

Am a very regular flyer with AA and did not like it at all when it was first unveiled but now i too really like it. After years of not really changing the new look American is great, love flying on the new 777-300, the first and business class cabins are really comfortable. Looking forward to being in one again next week on a trip to london.
