CPA748 Problem at FAOR?
Good Afternoon Gentlemen.
My Dad Lives on Short Finals for 03R at JNB FAOR.
He just informed me about a possible situation with CPA 748 Scheduled from JNB - HKG
Im attaching a screenshot. It took off fr4om 3L and Circled about 6 times to return to JNB 03R.
Apparently 3L was closed for a while.
Our contact at ATC is not in today. Anyone have any info?

Cathay Pacific bird strike at Johannesburg
A B744, operated by Cathay Pacific suffered a bird strike at OR Tambo International on March 9, 2014. Birds were ingested by engines 3 and 4 during take-off from runway 03L. The crew dumped fuel and performed a successful emergency landing.
