Boeing 747 Operations in India
If I am not mistaken:
- Air-India uses it's Boeing 747-400 in a backup capacity in case 77W not ops.
- Air-India uses the 744 also on certain Middle East flights, mainly to Saudi Arabia;
- As mentioned by one of the members above, British Airways occassionally brings the 744 to India;
- Saudi Arabian Airlines often uses its 744 and 743 to both BOM and DEL;
- Mahan Air and IranAir 744, 743, 742 and 74P visit from time to time;
I've also seen 744's of LH, MH and TG in BOM, but those have been subs rather than scheduled.
Of course, several cargo operators still use 747's generally.
