Youngest Boeing 777 endorsed pilot

I have a friend who has recently been endorsed on the Boeing 777 at a pretty young age. I was wondering if anyone knew of the youngest person to be endorsed on the 777 in the past 10 years?

Cheers

I knew a couple of fully fledged FO's who were in their early 20's, 21 and 23. Also know a of a guy who was only 19, was just a Second Officer and not sure if he held a full endorsement.

Whats the biggie with the 777 anyway, a mate of mine was an A320 Captain at 22.

Agreed. Just to rub it in for Aceflyer, a mate of mine was Captain on both B737NG and A320 at 23 with over 3000 hrs under his belt.

That's nothing! Mate of mine was a A380 captain, but he lost his command after forgetting to take his comforter out of his mouth before transmitting.

Cool

Friend of mine was CPT on A320 at the age of 17, but it became more and more embarrassing that his parents had for bring him to work every morning.
Now he failed his drivers license test for the second time and has taken unpaid leave until is is able to drive a car.

That's nothing! I met a bloke down the pub who had a mate that was a A380 captain while in utero.

That's nothing! A friend of a friend of my third cousin twice-removed was a 787 captain when he was just a twinkle in his Dad's eye!

Call me old fashioned, but I'd prefer that the captain and perhaps even the FO of a long distance aircraft were both of older years and that those years had been spent learning their craft and gaining the experience to handle just about anything that came in their way.

All these young people behind the controls. What's te key to their success? My guess is they were the best candidates at the cadet training, is that the only possible way?

AGREE!

I agree with you. Physical maturity is accompanied by psychological, cognitive maturity that would help in their work.
