Possible DC6 over Rutland today

Anyone aware of the Coventry based DC6 being up today
Looked over Rutland water about 11-00 and what looked like a 4 engine piston DC6 flew at about 1500 feet i.e very low SW across the west shore of the reservoir over Eggleton towards Brooke hill with the UC down.
it banked sharp as it climed over the hill from SW to a SE heading as though heading towards Luffenham or Wittering. Normally at that height, it would be a plane on finals for RAF Cottesmore but it was heading away on the wrong track and as far as i am aware, there are no flying opeartions now and it was on the wrong track if it had taken off from there. Lost it as it went over the hill range but bizare. paint was polished alloy with what looked like hi viz orange stripes and wing tips? rare to see anything now here other than the odd PPL single props since Cottesmore closed
any ideas?
