AF447 Black Boxes found today?
SLF, so I did not feel entitled to post in the tech log thread, even if I think they haven't yet seen this one.
Anyway, seems like they found 'em.
(the article is cited in the relevant Wikipedia entry, in note no.3)
Volo Rio-Parigi, ritrovate le scatole nere - Corriere della Sera
I read it through google translate, so apologies if I didn't get it right.
Best regards

I would interpret that as nothing more than the tail section have been located. Newspaper extrapolations and headlines designed to catch the eye are to be taken with a spoonful of salt.

Yeah, probably...
Also, this is one source only, and I've not seen this news anywhere else (not that I spent much time searching however).
Tail section located is, however, good.
Hope everything aft of the rear pressure bulkhead is still there and still intact...
Edit: the source quoted in the article is ANSA, and here
Brasile: incidente Air France; ritrovate le scatole nere - Trentino-Alto Adige/Suedtirol - ANSA.it
and here
Airbus Air France, trovate scatole nere - Top News - ANSA.it
(which I got as google.it hits since I found nothing on google.com)
there still is mention of black boxes...
Time will tell.

Amended:
"On 12 April 2011 it was announced by the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera that the black boxes had been found, but other sources stated only that the part of the plane that would normally contain the black boxes had been located."
