Thnx for your observations BOAC. Contents noted.

My original post was posted in 'statement' form because I believed that my intent would have been readily understood by spotters and non-spotters alike.

Much like posting on a footy forum: 'Player so-and-so didn't turn up for training today.'

To footy aficionados this would surely have engendered the following response: I WONDER WHY ?

If I am going to have to s p e l l it out on every thread it could become quite tedious. C'mon chaps. Try and keep up.

I think most of us see an easy solution to your dilemma - or are you yourself a 'spotter' in which case, of courses, you may wish to 'trawl through the spotters' forum' and will have to put up with it?
If you check my profile, you will see I'm a controller that also has an interest in flying and aircraft. So I will, occasionally, trawl through the Spotters' forum. As has been mentioned in this thread and numerous others, the forum can easily and rapidly become bogged down with non-informational posts.

You're right, this is the place to ask for information as a spotter regarding an unexpected aircraft's arrival. But that's the point I'm making, the forum would run much smoother if the OP would actually state the information they are seeking, rather than hoping people can mind-read.

- and indeed here it was here in BOAC-land I was just trying to help you over the humps of those who cannot 'mind read'. I think on this forum one must assume the L C Denominator.
