The question then becomes...how much in illegal subsidies
did Airboos receive?
Oh wait, that's already been proven.

Didn't think it would take long for one of the Europhobes to jump in here to defend the good ole US of A..... hello 411A

Why can't we just accept that both major (and probably most of the minor - Embraer, Bombardier) manufacturers get state aid through varying mechanisms, without which development wuld cease?

WTO

This is just a lawyer-fest.

Let's face it, the EU is subsidizing Airbus and the US is doing the same for Boeing. Maybe everyone would be better off if both parties could agree on some sort of compromise, but I don't see this coming...

So we complain about high aviation taxes. Well I now see where (at least part) of them go.

The ruling is largely symbolic. The WTO cannot issue legally binding decisions.
So in other words, this 1500 page (!) document is a bunch of pointless lawyer cr@p !

And who paid for this BS ?

You and me and everyone else on this site are paying for it in our taxes...don't get me started - We're in the middle of a row with HMR&C about the importation of aircraft components to the UK at the moment - Watch them they're out to get as much as they can from you at the moment
