Was I in my own world again today or did i see the Thai A340-600 parked up by the North Terminal at Gatwick this morning, somebody please help me out!!!

You are correct. I understand a fire alarm in the tower at LHR caused several early morning diversions, including the Thai A340.

As stated above it was diverted in because of the fire alarm at Heathrow. It was THAT910 HS-TND as well as EK7 A6-EMS that diverted into Gatwick.
