Qantas 744 presumably wakes up London at Midnight.
Hello Guys,
Presumably the Mayday of QF2 Yesterday woke up London as i had headphones with music in my ears at Midnight and the noise was so intense i could hear it with headphones on.
What was that all about?
I Understand it was a mayday as the night curfew and stuff like that.
Not many winds about so what explains the extreme loud noise?
Robbie

Bit of bad luck for this partcular aircraft. The inbound QFA1 which usually arrives first thing in the morning, actually landed around 9pm some 17 hours late and after performing a go-around on 09L. The outbound was due out late at 23:30 but returned.

"How can you get so would up about something so trivial ???
Get a life."
Your post says it all really - accuracy obviously means nothing to someone who can't even be bothered to check his own post for sense.
Perhaps instead of advising people to get a life you need to learn some life skills.

Point 5
The aircraft landed on Monday evening as you said, but was delayed due to a lightening strike check. Once the flight was ready it went tech twice, before being cancelled at half three. The aircraft then operated as QF2 on Tuesday which was the one that had the air turn back. It eventually left LHR on Wednesday as QF32
