Followed Flyjet to the holding position 23L at MAN today in G-OOOB. Probably never do that again.

Best of luck to all in Flyjet.

I shall miss FJE, They survived to the end, Wall behind wall, It will be a sad day when the 757's finally move on.

Where are the 757's going next, As silly as it seems Silverjet will probably buy 2 757's to replace EA & EB??

The dvd of FJE was one of the best I had ever seen.

It will be another British Charter Airline going behind the curtain!!

The list is endless...

sorry the last flight op by Flyjet is now 2nd October 2007

1000 MANCHESTER SHARM EL SHEIKH MANCHESTER 2220

other flights after this date are not operated by Flyjet.

EA & EB will then go to Fedex to operate as cargo aircraft

I heard something about the aircraft's (I presume its EB) tail being reinforced using tape according to unreliable sources therefore the aircraft being grounded.

The last commercial flight for EB was yesterday. It was due to go to QLA today but due poor weather will now position tomorrow.
The last commercial flight for EA is on Thursday when it operates the NCL-ACE. It then positions to SEN on Friday and that is the end of Flyjet.
XL France are covering the rest of the October programme with flights out of MAN and NCL.

A V Sad day

Seen and heard them flying about. It must be costing Silverjet a fortune in subcharter fees, are they covering the whole of the FJE winter program?
I wonder how it will effect the bottom line of the annual profits for Silverjet?

Of course it will be expensive to subcharter, but wouldn't an A320 be cheaper to operate than a 757 anyway?
