BA aircraft reg. for Brown's visit to USA

Hi,

I saw in the news that Gordon Brown left on a shiny BA 777 with a registration, I don't think it was G-BRWN, but something very similar. Just curious if this was re-registered especially for the PMs visit, pure chance, or whether BA managers had the foresight to register it months ago? Anyone know??

It was a 767 and it was G-BNWN. Must have been a poor news day as it was in the mail, and they appeared to challenge the fact that the aircraft's reg. was a coincidence. They even went to the length of research to find out from the CAA that the G prefix is infact the UK's designator and not just the initial for Gordon Who would have thought!?

About a million years ago I was working at Prestwick when Rangers (Glasgow Rangers - football team - staunchly Protestant) flew out to Canada on BOAC 707 G-ARRC (Romeo Charlie - Roman Catholic). The locals were pissing themselves, I didn't quite get the joke.
