What to see in France?
Planning on crossing the cannel to see France. Will be in one of three areas. Normandy/Brittany, Alsace/Lorraine, or Nice. Any suggestions on aviation related sites to see. Museums, Manufacturers, WWI or WWII or just interesting airports. Any help is appreciated.

My wife & I went to Normandy a couple years ago to see the place where a number of my cousins fought etc and the most interesting place in Normandy is "Point Du Hoc" which was the famous site of the scaling of the cliffs by the rangers. It has been preserved and untouched since D-Day and the ruins and craters from the heavy bombing and shelling from the naval vessels is a sight you will never forget....
There is also a museum near Omaha Beach and of course the famous cemetery at Colleville-sur-mer where over 9,000 are buried.
Use the google search engine and do a couple searchs and you will find a lot of useful info.

Don't miss the Millau viaduct
In English (but don't miss the French version above!)
Also well worthwhile: Le Bourget
(but let us know what you think of their version of WWII, please)
