Are the leased aircraft not to cover the 737-200's been brought into early retirement following cracks found in the airframe?

These are probably to replace the aircraft parked at PIK and DUB. I don't think any of them have been grounded by airframe cracks. Reports suggest that aircraft skins have been found scored in various places by inappropriate maintenance practices with a trimming knife during repainting operations. As Ryanair were due to retire them, as new aircraft were delivered, it would appear that leasing aircraft is the best option. Substantial repairs would have had them offline anyway.

Islandsflug will ACMI lease two of it's 734's to Ryanair. The aircraft are TF-ELV formerly with Air Miles in Crete and TF-ELD formerly flying for Excel out of BHX. Initially the contracts are for three month and five months.

Yeah the Excel 800 in Stn only operates the 4 routes on a set pattern-

AM- STN-DUB-DUB-STN and STN-CRL-CRL-STN
PM- STN-VST-VST-STN and STN-DUB-DUB-STN
1 cabin crew is Excel, and 3 Ryanair, both flight deck are Excel.

As for the 400's I have no idea!!

200 scoring on the framework was caused by inapropriate maintenance by FLS in DUB or STN. Rumour has it FR are sueing?
