Condiciones

Hola!

Alguien sabe cómo serán las condiciones? Y cómo se basan para calcular en qué parte de la horquilla salarial estás?

Muchas gracias de antemano y suerte a tod@s!!!

libez 21st Jun 2015 09:54

hello,
sorry but my written spanish is not excellent.
For the 3 planes based there there are going to be 18 cpt positions and 18 FO positions and the full priority is going to be given to the ex madrid crew and crew at the moment based in FCO.

seasexsun 21st Jun 2015 16:57

Libez, I can understand priority given to ex MAD based although some FOs are now capt, and probably they are more than happy at AMS, CDG or NCE base with a better contract. But what do you mean with FCO crews? Why would they have priority against other creews? Is FCO going to close down?

MSX555, i am not sure wether easyjet being worse than vueling or vueling being worse than easyjet. Since Andy Hartidon left this orange company is a Ryanair equivalent.

marcoBCN 21st Jun 2015 20:18

Yes, also FCO is going to be closed. EZY is going to open a base also in VCE.

libez 22nd Jun 2015 08:14

yes FCO is closing down in april 2016 and many ex MAD base are currently based there.

Hola gente:)

Muchas gracias y happy landings:ok:

Tiennetti 11th Jul 2015 10:19

Correcto, Flexible Roster (No 5-4), 132 días off al año (minimo) + 25 de leave

Tontito 15th Jul 2015 09:52

basic salary for a captain: 8300€/month gross (before all taxes) paid 12 times a year;
Sectorpay: 32€/sector gross. (expect +/-400 sectors/year)
If the company is doing well you can earn a bonus up to 7500€/year. As this bonus is calculated on your earnings during the past financial year, it will be close to 0 the first year.
There is no uplift for time in the company.
If you are not rated you will have to pay your rating: +/- 25000€.
You will be base frozen in BCN for 5 years and afterwards a transfer to another base is not guaranteed.

cosmiccomet 16th Jul 2015 00:44

How much is the tax in Spain for that salary???
Do you have to subtract to that gross salary the social security, pension and the lost of license insurance???
Is the transportation to the airport paid by the company???
Uniform???

seasexsun 16th Jul 2015 11:30

cosmiccomet, for the salary quoted above, expect to pay 40% to hacienda :E

Why would transportation to airport be paid by the company? especially a low cost company, you crazy!

cosmiccomet 16th Jul 2015 12:49

Jajaja,
Total Gross Salary per year: EUR 99.600+7.500 (conditional)
In the best scenario, it would be EUR 107.100 per year.
Subtracting 40% tax (EUR 42.840) means EUR 64.260 per year.

If the Pilot has to pay over it pension, social security and transportation to the airport...the net salary for living is not very good.

LimaVictor 16th Jul 2015 16:03

Hey guys muchas gracias por los comentarios:ok:
la verdad no suena muy interesante el contrato que ofrecen por mas que sea en Barcelona:confused:
happy landings

Giggey 24th Jul 2015 06:31

And no loialty bonus either which on the other contracts is 5% basic / year for Fo's after 3 year and 5/10/15% for Cpt's after 3/5/10 year in the company.

Stay on the 787!

Merovingio 14th Oct 2015 10:20

any news?

Alguna novedad??

vikdream 17th Oct 2015 09:53

Honestly?

Well in other threads you support the idea of being self-employed and working for an airline, so obviously we have different points of view.

Yes the EZY Spanish contract compared to the UK contract (even the French contract) might be worse, much worse in some cases, especially with the GBP-EUR exchange rate. But you cannot compare it to the UK, you need to compare that with other Spanish operators, like you said, VLG.

EZY captains on a Spanish contract have the same basic salary (not really basic, basic+plus de comandante in VLG) as a VLG 10 year skipper (potentially 14-15 years down the line). EZY F/Os on the Spanish contract (F/O, not SFO, high is much higher) are on the same basic salary as a VLG 10 year F/O. Variable pay (per diems, SBYs) might be better for experienced F/O at VLG and just slightly better for captains (not sure about this though) during the summer. Just to be clear, I am talking about the new Spanish contract, not the old Madrid one.

No pension, no loyalty bonus, no fixed-roster... Same as VLG. Easy crews in Spain do have a certain amount of money paid by the company which they can use in pensions, private medical insurances, etc. Same as VLG. This is the way it works in Spain. For non SPanish people this might be hard to understand, but the state pension in Spain (paid with your contributions) is significantly higher than in the UK, and having a private pension scheme is not compulsory, many many people do not have one. This is however not good for foreign crew, as obviously in order to get the full Spanish pension you will have to contribute around 35 years of your life, which is simply not doable by many people and therefore they will need a private pension scheme. I will give you that one. But it is the same in VLG.

VLG offers, however, huge stability (in BCN, if you want to be there) a few years down the line, fantastic staff travel and TRE/TRI options in the future (not possible at the moment in EZY outside the UK as far as I am concerned).

Financially speaking, for new entrant F/O and skippers, Easyjet is probably the best contract you can get at the moment in Spain (if Air Europa lowers their terms and conditions for new people, and they will do, same as Iberia). Yes a 12 year Captain might be better off in VLG, but looking 12 years ahead in aviation (16-17 for brand new FO) is somewhat silly, especially when SO, FO, SFO and junior CAP are much much better off in EZY.

However, the EZY contract I agree is far from being ideal. Not saying that. It has got many things that will have to improve in the future in order to retain crews, but being a brand new base it is a good start.

Do not forget many VLG crews are not happy at all. I know many VLG guys applying for EZY BCN, do not know EZY guys applying for VLG BCN. Does that say something?

Happy landings

Guys, keep calm, both jobs are high productivity and low salary. You do not need to prepare a pension while working for a low cost airline, simply because you will be dead before 75. Anyway, the grass is always more orange at easyjet.
