Ryanair redundancy sleight of hand defeated legally in Spain's Supreme Court

'Not nice,' as they say in refined circles.

The court found that they tried to manipulate a redundancy procedure in 2 locations, Girona and the Canary Islands, so as to deprive their recently re-engaged staff of their legal entitlement to redundancy compensation.

The beginning of the last paragraph in the enclosed report states


El tribunal conclou que no és pas una simple equivocació, sinó un intent "seriós i clar" per eludir la sentència de l'Audiència Nacional

which I render as:


'The court concluded that it was not a matter of a simple mistake, but rather of an "obvious and serious" effort to get round the [previous] High Court sentence
