For the rest who might be interested on something usefull, about 70% of the attendees wore a suit and tie today.

Good luck

Hi all,

The ones who've been invited, what's your background?

I'm flying in a company and have less than 200HS on type, (JET <30MTOM) but VLG hasn't reached yet.

Saludos

Thanks for the update.*

What was the mix of subjects?

Business casual seem out of place? Seeing how it's not even at HQ but at a hotel if I'm correct

What's the best (cheap) options for hotel if arriving a day before?

They are using the hotel in front of their HQ because for the first phase they always invite around 100 people.
Subjects were PoF, Meteo, Performance, some Human Performance, MEL items, RVSM and All Weather Ops. Typical ATPL test, but geared for people working for an airline already.

Lot of people!
Glad to hear it's geared to practicality. My Cadet atpl test for Ryanair was piston engines and magnetos, though I doubt they cared much for the score (30q 10min)

Wow. No answer regarding background upon being called?
No wonder why some pilots say not all help each other.

Good luck with your interviews.
Don't forget to provide feeback.

As I said in a previous post, all candidates had jet or (maybe) turboprop experience. I have also written a feedback about the simulator. Just scroll up.

I maybe should have said you weren't included.
You're one of the most helpful lads out there.

It wasn't for you Banana.
I've read countless posts with your helpful answers, it's just feds me up to post something very specific asking what background people has and no one even answering "xxx jet time" or whatever.

Again. Thank you

I did the first phase a week ago, around 100 candidates, maybe 15 or 20 TR, and the rest a mix of people with and without experience, so I will say 40 non experienced fresh from school and 40 with experience on airlines, 737, Dash8, ATR, E Jet, etc..

I have 1400 TT, and 300 on Type.

So it seems that eventually they're also looking at low hours, straight out of flight school candidates. I went on the first day and all the people I talked to were already flying jets, with the Mustang being the smallest.

Thank you Spaflyer and Banana. I'll guess I'll just have to wait and see.
Best of luck with the following steps of the assessment.

I'm going for the first stage (ATPL + English test) on 29.10.
My experience is 850tt 530hrs in a bizjet. I'm not sure about experience levels but I have a couple friends that didn't get called yet, one is fluent in Spanish. I was the only more experienced one. But it's good news if they are calling fresh pilots. I shared my online assessment experience up top, I'll update in a few days after first stage.

Hi guys, I'm going in on the 29th as well, 600tt 250 on type.

For TR candidates, is the test all about the A320 or there's ATPL subjects too? the invitation email is not clear about that.

Also, how is the english assessment? Is it computer based with headsets? Any plain english grammar/fill the blanks written type of questions or just listening to standard aviation phraseology?

Thanks for the feedback, wish everybody here good luck.

It should be only A320. 100 questions. Still, I would review some ATPL.
The English test is a listening exercise and you have to fill in the spaces or write down ATC instructions. No headset, they will play the track on the stereo system of the room.
