Missing 12 year old girl

Some of you may be aware of this story:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/m...er/3067517.stm

Can I suggest that PPRUNErs try to use their contacts at airlines and airports to assist the police in this matter. Whatever the circumstances the parents of the girl are desparate for information of their daughter. Perhaps someone out there can help.

It is interesting is it not that she managed to get through passport and security checks without an eyebrow being raised?

Terrible news. I hope this young girl is safely returned home.

According to the TV news a couple of hours ago he thought she was nineteen, they have now split up, his family say she has not been harmed etc. Fingers crossed for some good news soon.

I see the British tabloids are already painting him as a "pervert" on the front page, before the facts about how these two ended up in the same place have come to light.

While I'm not condoning improper behaviour, it would be nice to find out whether there was any first. Whatever happened to innocent till proven guilty.

The Girl is back in UK, safe and in the company of Manchester Police (BBC, 14:40).

It would be nice if we could hold off the lynch mobs, at least until the facts are discovered.

Good news then that she's back with her parents.

There are obviously a lot of unanswered questions. I am curious to know how much the airlines/airports were able to help and why there was even confusion about the S.Pennington on the easyJet flight when easyJet ask for a full name when booking. It will be interesting to know how she managed to get on board two flights STR-AMS and AMS-MAN alone given that I understand she should have been accompanied being a minor (?).

Anyway let's wait for the full facts to come out before labelling anyone.

Hopefully in the future the air transport community can rally round quickly to help in such cases.

Kalium Chloride, absolutely disgaceful that the "UK tabloids" should make up scurilous stories about poor Mr Studabaker. Perhaps they should have waited until USA Today published the following

.........American investigators have evidence, taken from Studabaker's computer during investigations into the missing pair, that he knew that Shevaun was 12. The sources also said that images of child pornography were discovered on Studabaker's computer
