Stelios Offloading Shares

Apparently Stelios has offloaded another tranche of shares to raise a warchest of £17Million for his other ventures (including easyCinema).

This reduces his stake to less than 20%.

Also in a separate development an unnamed major investor has placed £4.5M shares with Credit Suisse First Boston.

Not sure why this has been moved to the Non Air Transport Issues forum.

If he sells all his shares this could depress the share price and make it more difficult for easyJet to raise money to buy new a/c.

This would increase their costs, reduce their profitability and ...........

Quite correct. easyJet announced to the stock exchange that easyGroup has disposed of 7.5 million shares. 4.5 million on the 2/7/03 following 3 million on the 10/7/03.

As for the share price dropping quite the reverse it continued a slow advance!

Easy future?

What does the future hold for the orangemen?

150 Airbus firmly on the way, no (apparent) funds for them and I would imagine a load of disinterested leasing companies.

Please feel free to 'correct' me, but it doesn't look too pretty from where I'm sitting.

It looks like things are sinking fast.CP MK needs surgery
which the company won't pay for, yeilds are down, the founder
is ditching shares and the staff are unhappy, and theres the little matter of some new airbuses to finance.

Here we go again ,Court line.laker,Dan air,air europe.

According to the financial press last week, BA's current debt value is £5.2 BILLION.

That makes every other company on the block look quite rosy.

Norman
Why should the company pay for MK's surgery? (assuming what you say is true). I have medical insurance at a discounted price due to a company deal, to cover such things.

Only a rumour !

I certainly understood that the plan was to pay for the Blunderbus fleet with a new share issue. Stelios' recently dumped stock will not help with that little scam.

The company still has to sort out the problem of recruiting, training and then, critically keeping pilots. They still don’t have enough pilots to fly the planes they have thus necessitating all these wet leased aircraft brought in to operate the schedule. Seems like a study in wasting money.

What’s the surgery? Have they found a way of removing the cranium from the anus?

Kirk out….
