FYI we're in serious negotiations on two more projects which will provide different options in terms of residency, lifestyle, return on investment etc. and less flying time for many than the Cayman Islands.
So I think it will be well worth your wait. Keep checking back. Adios Amigo. ;) |
Well count me in as one who is patiently waiting. :(

Islandboy, what is the inheritance tax rate in GC? Also, does the law dictate transfer of ownership (as in Spain/France/Portugal where your kids automatically inherit your property) or can you Will property freely?
|
Idunno
There is no personal or corporate income tax, no capital gains tax, no withholding tax, no business tax, no estate tax, no gift tax, no inheritance tax, no death duties, no employment taxes, no sales tax, and no probate fees in the Cayman Islands.
The Caymanians enjoy one of the highest outputs per capita and one of the highest standards of living in the world. Real Estate ownership is Fee Simple and is a model of the British System (only less cumbersome) it's fully guaranteed in perpituity. In a nutshell you can freely assign your property. Hope this helps and I'm very pleased to answer any more questions you may have |
Thank you Islandboy, you could be the answer to my prayers.
I'll be in touch through the IPG website. |
You're very welcome and we look forward to hearing from you. IB

Hey 74, I thought you might find this interesting. We were able to acquire the domain www.ipgglobal.com as well today so either ipgglobal.net or com will both point to our site as of tomorrow.
|
I tried it out already and it's working great, you're pretty lucky that domain came available.
|
We also just acquired IPGCAPITAL. Currently it points back to our main IPG website but shortly we're going to build another new website providing a direct link with those seeking capital and those looking to invest etc.
|
I see you guys have been busy as usual any chance you could fix the pot hole in front of my house.;)

Interesting article in yesterdays Cayman Net News about how well Cayman real estate (Grand Cayman) is selling this summer, which is typically the slow season.
|
How about this one in today's Cayman Compass:
While the Vice President of Sales at The Ritz-Carlton, Ms. Nicola de Lima, would not confirm recent sales, she did say she had been very busy of late. "August so far is probably busier than any month in the high season," she said, "Money is coming to the Island." Ms. de Lima believes that recent Ritz advertising in the UK has helped spur interest. "People are looking for investment that will bring them more than a three percent return, and many people are being advised to buy Cayman Islands' real estate," she said. Very interesting that a lot of the buyers are from the UK. IPG has also informed me they have had a recent upturn of interested PPRuNeRs from the UK & the Emirates. Although with their third trip to Mexico now under their belt I'm surprised they have the time to analyze the data. Can you spell Tequila Franchise? |
Interesting article in todays International Living regarding great scuba diving in the Caribbean/Cayman Islands:
Best Dives the Caribbean International Living Postcards--your daily escape http://www.internationalliving.com Thursday, September 4, 2003 The Caribbean Dear International Living Reader, The Caribbean is a top dive destination, and with good reason. Numerous islands offer outstanding underwater delights, and I've been fortunate to partake of them. No matter where you plunge into the waters of the Cayman Islands, you'll find yourself in some of the best scuba diving territory in the world. Each of the islands offers dozens of dive sites. Little Cayman is the most pristine, and many believe it offers the best diving, much of it right off the beach. I dove mostly in the waters around Cayman Brac, where the wall diving--diving along a sheer vertical face that drops, in some cases, thousands of feet--is especially impressive. Popular sites right off Seven Mile Beach have suffered in recent times because of heavy traffic. Scuba diving on the world's second largest barrier reef is one of Belize's biggest draws. The country understands just how important diving is to its economy and has set aside extensive areas as underwater preserves. We spent a day at the Hol Chan preserve off Ambergris Caye playing with big tame groupers, barracudas, and even a turtle, and enjoying the colorful underwater reefs. |

Jump on the PADI wagon in Cayman
Cayman is sure getting a lot of good diving publicity lately:
Jump on the PADI wagon in Cayman NEW YORK, USA _ A recent travel report by MSNBC includes Bob Soto's Reef Divers in the Cayman Islands as one of three "exotic" Carib-bean PADI resorts recommended for open sea diving certification. |
Cayman's Economic Policy Praised by Investor Services
In its recently issued annual report on the Cayman Islands, one of the major international credit rating agencies, Moody's Investor Services, gives us a credit rating of Aa3, which signifies very strong creditworthiness relative to other domestic issuers. The modifier 3 indicates a ranking in the lower end of that generic rating category. Moody's attributed the country's high rating to our resilient tourist sector, high per capita income and prudent economic policy framework. The agency also noted the cooperative response of the Cayman Islands authorities with regard to US and European Union concerns on money laundering through its offshore banking sector and reported a similarly satisfactory result in response to the OECD initiatives on tax issues. The report commended the Cayman Islands' strong and flexible regulatory framework, stable political system, favourable social indicators and an encouraging external debt situation. |
