Renting a Video Camera

Hi all,

I was just wondering if someone can point me in the direction of a shop in the Manchester area who rent out video cameras etc?

Also could anyone who has rented a video camera give me some idea as to the price? I will be needing one for around 4 weeks.

Thanks in advance

are you looking for a flying video camera? ;)

I "used" to rent a VHS [full size] video recorder from [as was] "Radio Rentals".
If it is a "self taking" [amateur] video, then a cheap video from a "High Street store" could be ok.
Try ebay, Yellow Pages or an Internet search engine...
good luck

You will be better off buying a camera than renting unless you are looking for Broadcast quality.
A standard rental price for a Sony PD-170 as an example would be £75.00/day £300.00/week.
Do not buy from e-bay as a lot of the bargains are suspect imports and probably NTSC format.
Your should pick up a new Digital Video such as a Sony TRV-22
for around £450.00

There are some camcorders down in the UKP250 region nowadays - such as the Canon MV700 (Mini DV). May be worth checking out.
