South Side LHR ESSO Garage
 

This might get moved but I have a question for anyone in the know and/or to advise colleagues of the matter also.

Through sheer annoyance I found the ESSO garage on LHR southside closed down.
Fact is it looks/appears permantely closed with concrete barriers and wooden barracades allaround it. Signs removed etc etc and Esso logos dismantled.

Does anyone know if this is a permanent measure is it just being rebuilt or refurbished.

Shame as it conveniently located for the route out of LHR (Cargo/T4) on Southern Peri Road. LHR is really really short of petrol/diesel & convenience stations.

I have a horrible feeling that the powers that be have closed this down for security reasons. maybe its all part of the T5 developments and a new "service area" will be relocated elsewhere closeby and in close prox to J.14 of the M25.
