Shackleton damaged
Report in today's Sunday Mirror says that a Shackleton has been damaged by a light aircraft that undershot the runway and collided with the Shack.
The article quotes The Gatwick Aviation Society but doesn't say where the incident took place. Any ideas? Fortunately, the three people in the light aircraft were uninjured. |
It took place at the end of the airstrip at the Gatwick Museum about two weeks ago. The strip is 500 metres which is a bit tight for a PA-28 (as proved to be the case).
