HK CAA
Anyone on this forum that could give me some advise on how the licence transfer works with the HongKong CAA?

If you get a position for an airline in HK you will be required to do all the theory from PPL to ATPL in a relative "fair amount" of time. (4 to 6 weeks). You will also be required to do the English proficiency exam and the medical class 1. I think it is kind of like the same as anywhere else. I think this info is detailed somewhere in the forum.

I converted my NZATPL to a HKCAD ATPL 12 years ago and I only had to do some exams, from memory it was only ATPL law, human factors and performance. I know the Australians I were with at the time were required to sit extra ATPL exams, can’t remember why?
I most definitely were not required to to any PPL or CPL exams. I was only required to do exams appropriate to license you’re converting. |
Likewise Snakeslugger,
conversion of my European ATPL to HK ATPL for me was I had to sit 4 ATPL exams, Human perf, Av law A & B and Performance (Transport). HK Class 1 medical. I already had ICAO lvl 6 endorsed. The gent joining with me was same and not european. Me on A320 going for NTR widebody at that time. Regd's. |
