New Bali Air? Scam or real?
 

Hey guys,

New Bali Air have recently advertised for pilot positions for Dash 8, ATR up to 737. Asking for a friend looking for a job, thoughts on authenticity of this? They are asking dollars for a registration process for interview.

Corporate address in Makassar for New Air bali?
the address is in a street where there are many shops selling gold and souvenirs. Not really the place for an airline.

Where do they fly? with 11 aircrafts, wat are their destinations?

I think it is a little strange. Be careful!!

Their website look pretty new : 2018. I applied for their position but did not received any reply yet. This may sounds like Jetair77.

Never pay to do an interview!! Never!!

I got an invitation as well, i couldn't even find their website on google search. Paying for interview does not make sense.

A quick search turned up zero information about this company - looks like a website and nothing more.

Instead of paying for the interview, send the money to a Nigerian Prince who is looking to transfer $20 000 000 and promise's you a cut of the money in return for using your bank account and paying the transfer fees. At least that way you have more chance of getting a result.

so has anyone paid them $500 and got the details regarding the interview?

Anyone who is stupid enough to do that deserves to lose $500 imho.

Domain and name were bought for a year , its a template word press website for 10$ , research came with 0 info about them. I think its a scam and I will not share my info with hem.
A small note to people who advertise minimum requirement pilot jobs to scam pilots, you are the dirtiest scum of this world some people wait years for a lucky break like that and when hopes are up you come and destroy it , Foxtrot Uniform i hope you rot in hell

In the email you receive there is only a name of a coordinator of HR., but no address of the company.

So why not email this so called Coordinator back and ask for example a postal address
and other relevant questions and see if you get any believable answers that makes it seem
a proper Company. Reading the other posts my Money is on Internet Scam.

The salary is about NONTYPED FO on B737NG approx 27.700.000 rupiah = about 1900usd per month. for typed rated B737 FO. probably 48000000.

Captain = 83 100 000 per month around 5800 usd per month.

Captain ATR and DASH = 69000000 = 4800 usd.

FO typed DASH 8 = 2400usd.

I think Bali Air is for locals. or expats just starting out in the career. worst the expats that nobody wants.. don't expect to much... it Indonesia, they not going to pay market rate. for a local it is a lot money. don't complain about the money.. most airlines pay the around the same.

Anyone with a phone and an e-mail account can claim to be anyone they want.

Critical thinking is an important part of a Pilot's job - some of you need to do some work in this area.

I went to makassar last week and at the address is a gold toko. Nothing telling about an airline.

One of my friends paid the $500 registration fee and since he secured a job in his home town he asked for a refund, before he had transferred the money they would reply to mails anytime and any day. Even on a Sunday.
Now that he asked for a refund they went cold on him. Well do the math...

I heard about this airline a few years ago which then died away (happened about the same time as when this topic started here in PPRUNE), and then it propped up again several months ago... and got a call asking about this airline just last week.
The airline doesn't have an AOC yet. Information from within the DGCA, this so-called company hasn't lodged an AOC application either.
The funniest thing was, they haven't got the money either... they are still seeking investors, but information from "a source close to it" said they haven't planned for any routes, schedules or done any aircraft rotation simulations to see how many they need.

This is Indonesia, if the airline ain't real, it ain't worth your time. Go for the real ones, and even with those you still gotta watch where your money goes!
This is the 5th startup wannabe (yes, wannabes for even the startups) I've come across in the last 4 years, and yet another one living in dreamland (instead of doing the setup work).
