Lease of STOL Turboprop
 

Hi All, I'm new in the forum.
Lot´s of interesting discussions here.
I need some help. A friend of mine is searching for a dry lease of 2 Twin otter or similar with 19 places minimum. As per the business case, he can pay up to 30K USD monthly.
Do you think that is achievable? YOM shall be 2009 or newer.
Any ideas where to search or alternative models? I saw the Do 228 but I am not able to find anyone not older than 10 years...

Well, they stopped producing the Twin Otter in 1988, and the new-build Viking ones (of which there would only be a handful in existence) have big price tags.

Similarly, the 228 stopped series production in the '90s, with a handful of new-build "ng"s being built in the mid '10s.

You friend is going to have to alter his perceptions of aircraft age, there are almost no shiny new aircraft in that sector.

Harbin Y12 is in production, some operating in Indonesia already.
