Jetstar Pacific recruitment
Recently Jetstar Australia and New Zealand pilots have been told of opportunities to take LWOP and go to Jetstar Pacific.
Does anyone know what's it like to work for Jetstar Pacific? Does anyone know what the interview process is like? Thanks |
Yes more info please .
|
You mean Jetstar Pacifiky with the 25% captain turnover this year?
|
Was that turn over Qantas guys going back to Qantas?
|
Before that, last year too. The GM when he was last here, 4 years ago, had the same inability to retain pilots.
|
Has anyone heard anymore on this? Has anyone got an example contract that wouldn't mind sending to me?
|
Notably less aussie voices on atc then they were.
|
Any latest info about jetstar pacific will be appreciated. Kindly pm me. Thank you.
Most interested in knowing the current upgrade time for a first officer joining the company now? |
Haven't heard much lately. But murmurs they are gearing up for the expansion soon.
|
Interview shortly, anyone with any info that I should be aware of?
Cheers m Deers :ok: |
I still haven't heard anything yet. But I'd love some interview info if it's available too thanks 😊
|
Has anyone from Jetstar aus received any more info regarding the position? I was hoping to have some more info before Christmas. Looks like maybe it will b in the new year at this rate ...
|
Been nearly a month and still nothing. Has anyone got an idea when things might start happening at JQ PAC?
|
A mate of mine is going through the selection process. He's been through the behavorial interview followed by technical interview on Skype. Then an ADAPT online test and if all is good, then a sim ride at CAE in Singapore.
|
Thanks DSJ.
Looks like they have been recruiting but no one from Jetstar aus yet. It's good guys are getting through the process, hopefully I'll get a chance soon too 👍

Hi guys
Does anybody know whether Jetstar Pacific are still open to hiring non type rated FOs or at least accepting applications? All I know is a few years back, some pilots landed jobs there with little more than piston twin time. From what information I have gathered, they are only hiring pilots through a few select agencies. I'm assuming with their "tick all the boxes" requirement for a type rating and time on type, I wouldn't be able to submit. I also hear that postings are open to Jetstar AUS/NZ crew. Can somebody please bring me the good news that they are open to accepting applications through email or some other means or that they know somebody important in the HR or flight operations department in Vietnam?...as I think for me this would be a real hoot of a job and a great base. Any information or advice is much appreciated! Thanks in advance. |

Hello!
Could anyone please shed some light on the fast upgrade subject? I am 320 TR with 3500 hours on the equipment and would like to know if that's even a possibility. |
Only 1 I know of got fast upgrade within 6 months, the rest are normally 12-18 months. Myself included. Depends on who you get in the Sim on your Second recurrent... mine was a bloody nitemare. At best Negative Training on that one, considering I ticked all the boxes on the intinial....
A lot of the good guys( instructors) gone back to Qantas with offers they can’t refuse. |
OM4, sorry for late reply.
2 Captains and 2 CUGs, the rest all F/Os, 12 in all but 5 Vietnam Airlines on Secondment. |
Jetstar pacific
Could someone please share company overall experience, training, treatment to pilot community, command upgrade, roster life too if possible.
Thanks |
|
Does anyone know if CAAV will submit verification letter to China in case I want to flee as a captain?
|
Hello! Does anybody know some fresh info about Jetstar Pacific? I'm interested in REAL work conditions, upgrade to Captain opportunities, overall experience (I've got ads from Parc and Rishworth, they recommend it furiously).
How does an average roster look like? Night shifts? Layovers? Is it a place worth being there or there are some better options? I'd really appreciate any help, thanx! :) |

Hey guys,
Just had an interview with them. It lasted more than an hour. It is first a skype interview, if you pass, you ll have an ADAPT test online ( you have to pay for it, dont remember exactly but I think it was around 150$). You are in front of 2 captains. First they talked a bit about Jetstar Pacific, you introduce yourself and your background. they ask you why Vietnam and why Jetstar Pacific? They put you in a situation and ask you how you would respond to it (captain doing something you are not comfortable with, how to ask him to do something safer because you are not comfortable) questions about the weather radar and how to operate it. Where the winshear and predictive windshear get the information from? 2 memory items: 1 you choose and one they ask you they ask you to explain one system (elec, hydro...) and then they ask you a few questions about it (basic questions, just to know if you understand what you are saying or you just learnt by heart) - some limitations : v speed for ldg retraction, extension and extented ( in ias and MACH), turbulence speeds, etc... all in all, very nice chaps and very relax interview. If the company is as relaxed as the interview was, it might be a very nice adventure. Secondly, you do an ADAPT test. I ve gotta say that it was not the easiest test ever. around 60 ATPL questions ( taken out of the 15000 data questions for the ATPL theory), then some hardcore multi tasking ( I did not even have time to finish the instructions, it was timed so I started the exercice without knowing exactly what to expect), then exercices on your memory ( 8 bubbles in a row with diff colours, 5 sec to memorize and then choose among 4 options which one it was. Same type of questions with an audio clearance and with a serie of numbers... and it finished with some math questions. If you pass, you are invited for a sim (it was in Saigon for me). Normal sim, pretty much the same as a standard OPC with some steep turns and expedite climb and descent added. No real trick. They just wanna see if you can fly an aircraft without automation and raw data. Bear in mind, you ll have to pay for your flight ticket and the Visa upon arrival (50$) on top of the ADAPT test. They will take care of the papers for your landing Visa, your hotel and transport. Hope it helps. Please share your experience aswell if you went for it. |
If you get the opportunity of agency, you will find FCI (USA) would be the better of any other agency available for JPA . Benefits include full refund on ADAPT local and contactable agency representatives & International medical coverage. |
Volare737 please check your PM, you have mail. But you need to empty your mail box first |
FCI does not have any local people.
