Any info about Jetstar pacific? How are working conditions? Do they really respect 6/2 roster? How is crm in the flight deck? What are a chances to get an upgrade as a foreigner?

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

I have a JSA interview sim coming up do you have any info on what’s involved or what yours was like and had to do? Any insight would be great.

Cheers

It's pretty basic. They're looking how good you fly, not to shoot you down ;-)
• Windshear on takeoff or approach – predictive or reactive
• Steep turns 45° angle of bank. Speed +/- 10 knots and height +/- 100 ft.
• TCAS
• GPWS
• Engine Failure or Engine Fire
• ILS Raw Data
• OEI Go-around
• Visual circuit and landing (No Slope approach). Yes, there are airports in Vietnam with no approach slope guidance which we regularly operate to.

+1 It was exactly that. Pretty straight forward. They will give you a guide beforehand anyway which explains each step. Good luck everyone.

I will join the company pretty soon so do no hesitate to get in touch should you need further info.

Right now, the situation is :
-a lot of changes in the roster day by day
-a lot of small 2sector-days, positionning, a few split duties
-average 6-10days out of base (mainly Hanoi++, Cam ranh+ and Da nang)

They do not hire Junior Fos for the moment. Full-ATPL-rated only.

Hey guys, I am considering applying to a vietnamese carrier and in this case JSPacific. I would like to know what your experience is regarding immigration of your wifes, and whether it was a smooth process.
Kind regards to you all and thank you in advance for any info you may share.

Anyone can provide info about average flight hour for FO? Is there still good opportunity for captain upgrade?

AviatoR21 2nd Feb 2020 07:14

From what the FO’s have told me it can vary quite a bit depending on season and also current rotation. Some are doing as low as 60 hours however some are in the 90’s.

Command upgrade has been right on the 2 year mark for a while, some have upgraded earlier. Quite a few guys doing the upgrade recently to cover the ones leaving.

Quick question. Can anybody confirm how much a Cap. can save every months after all costs ? I guess you major costs are accomodation and commuting. Don't take the beers in to account !!!!

Good Day 11th Feb 2020 04:37

That will largely depend on your expenses, but: food is VERY VERY cheap ( if you eat the local food which is the best, you wont expend more than 700USD even whn eating out with your 2 girlfriends) Rent is cheap, Western standard between can go up as much as you like but lets say that something nice is between 700-1200USD.
If you have kids and you put them in an international school then of course the costs go up. The rest of the money goes into your pockets.

Talk to your broker for more detailed info.

JetStar Pacific is now asking pilots to take unpaid leave due to the WuFlu situation.
