RB engineering

Back a few years RBA used to send young hopefuls to the UK, and I think it was Air UK, for engineer apprenticeships. The end result was some really switched on guys and girls returning to Brunei and producing good work for their airline.

The question that I would like to ask is whether this training format is still being achieved?

No, Practically no licensed engineers anymore.

So the assumption is that most aircraft maintenance ( heavy ) is contracted out. If this is the case it is a shame for those young folk who were doing well, back in the day.
