Rescuing climbers from the Everest Death Zone
 

Having seen the film Everest and being a PPL(H)(A) I've been trying to think how to get a person off the summit in an emergency or how to use drones (dropped in) to deliver oxygen. Probably the best example of centripetal force I've come across, simplicity of it is amazing, however using it in the scenario you mention:

Flying a reasonably precise orbital flight path is fine in stable denser air at lower altitudes but at higher altitudes in mountains it's another ball game completely. Wave, rotor, katabatic/anabatic and shear spring to mind.
