Jetstar Singapore

I have been invited to attend an interview with Jetstar Singapore in the next few weeks. Anyone have info on revised renumeration for captains at Jetstar? Would appreciate a heads up on approximate take home salary for a captain?

How about the roster and quality of life in the company? How expensive are accomodation and kids education in Singapore? Savings?? (if any)

Also applying for this position and finding really hard to get any info on it.
Best luck!

Thank you very much! I'm guessing no housing allowance and some taxes to be paid as well.

No housing, no education, and yes, you will have to pay taxes!

Thank you for the info, I really wonder how they can get and keep pilots with that package... Any idea? Is the roster that great? I know the country is wonderful, but still....

The country is not wonderfull, its ok for a couple of years but once the shiny city wears off you are left dealing with the Singaporean mentality, high prices and rosters that constantly change from early starts to red eyes, you will want to leave pretty fast. They cant keep pilots, it is a revolving door there. Getting paid SGD is no good either.

Okay, so maybe it is a good idea to withdraw the application and wait to see if things will improve at Jetstar, thank you for the eye opener comments. Will definitely take it into consideration.
Regards!
