Bringing this post back to life, since Loong Air is offering an upgraded benefits package.
Any comments on this airline? |
CAAC medical November 2018 it’s now May 23 and still haven’t started IOE yet. In fact I am home in the U.S.. Training program is needless to say dysfunctional. Friends on the line tell me to enjoy it because the schedules are horrible for the expats. |
Standard procedure |
Hello 390Blue, can I send you a PM? I tried to do so but not sure if it went through. I am seriously considering Loong Air and have a few questions if you don’t mind. i also live in the US. Thanks. |
Hear hear. Anyone who is interested in Chinese airlines really should start working on the job 9 months before you are ready to join. For several good reasons.
|
CW i assume you are on some kind of training pay perhaps waiting at home while they try to see what is that they can’t figure out. Would you mind sharing that number, i just need to see if it is worth the wait. I don’t mind the 9 months waiting time if I can pay the bills and I am home until the call me to get finished. Any other ideas of airlines running A320s that do this whole process faster? Regards, |
Expect a revealing silence in response to the second question.
|
Thanks for the clarification CW, I see now you are basically waiting on the last stage of requirements you need to fulfill before the job offer is extended (the way I see it). The rumors I have heard are that some companies pay the month off and as well as the working month. If your agency is not able to answer that there is a big communication problem. Thanks |
Very typical that you spend a period of months and weeks with no news but if they want something from you it has to be within a day... |
The Tianjin $ package sounds good. I just don’t know if their initial training process would be any better. |
There is no Chinese word for "efficiency".
They just don't care. |
Anyone know if you don’t pass the company simulator at one company. Can you apply to another company? Even the agencies don’t know |
G'day guys, I have an possible video interview with Loong Air very soon. I was wondering if any one had some current information about the whole process and the job it self as well as living in Hangzhou. I am looking at a 4 on 4 off roster commuting from Australia. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

What’s Loong air like and are they actually flying, I see the the agencies are recruiting, Im often tempted by the Chinese jobs and yes I’ve read the book and asked about CS and Hainan in the past but now furloughed for the foreseeable I have a zero risk chance now. Just can’t work out how they are recruiting when no one else is and how I’d get out there from the UK? Even for selection.

Info please
Hi,
if anyone has any experience flying with Loong Air/ recruitment process etc and wouldn’t mind pm’ing me I’d really appreciate it! Thanks! |
I’ve heard all Chinese airlines that employ foreigners are in the process of lowering the terms and conditions to that of local pilots for new contracts.
I was advised CUA will offer between $170k - $130kUSD post COIVD, from $288k - $213k USD pre COVID. |
Hi all, anybody able to share some interview tips with them, I have a interview coming up and need some pointers. Greatly appreciated!
|
What is the current situation of foreign pilots already engaged by the airline? Hearsay from the HNA conglomerate is 0 pay since 01FEB, is LoongAir any different?
Without wishing to derail the topic, FlightGlobal runs a very fresh set of CAE PARC advertisements for widebody PIC with CSN. Interesting. |
Thanks a lot for posting this.
All of this sounds like a nightmare to be honest. |
