I'm sure Scoot will be giving priority to the local's first Droste?
|
I liked the paragraph about Ground Handling and I can imagine what is 'reasonably required'.
|
Scoot being a subsidiary of the "Malaysian" run SQ will give priority to their local guys...especially their own "home town". Coming to Scoot is like another SQ..jus different name, same management from SQ.
|
Research the cost of as decent Condo in SQ land as well.

Anyone care to share info on Capts pay, rosters, working conditions etc.
|
Use the "SEARCH" option on the Header - top right... you'll be more than enlightened about the below par treatment, lies and deception that is the norm there and as eluded to above, SG has become an extremely expensive place to live on local terms... yes you are on local terms! (worse actually, because you get no Residency hence no Provident Fund like the locals, no 13th month pay... it goes on :ugh:
Shiny Jet Syndrome? |
I'm not interested but I noticed you also have to fund 50 percent of the Rating if not 787 current.

Just ignore droste. From my experience, Singapore and Malaysia tend to have a few more bitter locals jealous of expat DECs. If he has a gripe, he should address it to the Singapore based airline management hiring the expats, not the expats themselves. His little temper tantrum illustrates his powerlessness. Just ignore him and apply for the job. He and his type will have zero effect on you or your flying there.
|
Ahhhh the ole we don't want expats...
Airlines only hire expats as they don't have enough experienced locals to fill the seats. This is true in any industry not just aviation. Airlines get rid of expats when they don't need them, didn't SIA get rid of all expats not so long ago??? Why are there such good contracts for expats in China? Same reason. So fine get rid of the expats, then what happens? |
Out of interest can anyone advise the actual salary -gross or net- for a 787 skipper at Scoot??

Other nationalities need not apply. But the PCC website says, states legally entitled to work in Singapore. |
