Air India to hire 100 Airbus FOs to help reduce delays - will Indigo lose pilots?

Expect many Indigo or GoAir pilots to take this offer?

Quote :-

In an attempt to improve Air India's on-time performance, the ministry had issued salary cut orders covering pilots, cabin crew, engineering staff, ground handlers

That will make things worse ?

there are always a million pilots in the market

whether people opt to move out of indigo (which is likely not gonna happen) or not, there are still a many experienced pilots in the market ready to be inducted in any of the airlines. so where would the freshers go!?

Fresh CPL holders don't have an outside chance of getting hired by airlines here. Every single airline in India has been asking for type rated pilots even as trainees and as F/O's they need an additional 500 hrs on type.

The supply is just more than the demand. This cycle has not changed for years and at the rate airlines are closing down or making losses, the trend is likely to continue.

As for Indigo & Go Air drivers moving to AI? Seems very unlikely, specially with the salary cuts orders.

To the OP .The answer is No because of the terms and conditions. F/O's from Indigo will not join because their upgrade will be delayed. GOAIR F/O's not under bond will apply .

There will be a glut of effo apps.
It's the captains that will be interesting.
Fly 70 hrs for 4.9L. With a five year contract.
25k stipend during training. And we all know how efficient they are. 20k for the sim assessment.
I don't see too many captains signing up for this farce. It's amazing that they can offer these terms and expect any viable applicants.
