FO POSITION AT GARUDA INDONESIA
Hi
I am about to attend an interview with Garuda Indonesia on ATR 72-600. I have got over 2800 hours on ATR 72-500/-600 of which 1100 hours are on ATR 72-600. If I join them any chance for upgrade to Left seat? Or to another fleet preferrably jet on right seat? Any other info on this will be appreciated. |
2800+1100=3900 hours on the ATR and still in the right seat?
In Indonesia dońt expect an upgrade, they will keep as long they are unable to dill the seats with locals... |
No upgrade for expat in Garuda.
Expat only can be upgraded to lefthand seat in Lion, AirAsia or Susi Air. (Term and conditions applied) |
A Spanish friend ex Air Nostrum, FO with 3,7K on Bombardier CRJ, was told specifically in the interview that Upgrades are non-existence for expatriates, both to the left and to other types. He did mention that it is even written on the contract.
Hope it helps. SS |

Hi guys, any one flying with Garuda please enlight me on this Airline like is it worth it working with them I mean flying. Working conditions, how many hours a month roughly, how is a roster etc.....
|
@Mgggpilot i think you can try sort some upgrade agreement to LHS based on your hours. Btw nowadays ATR 600 series rating is more valuable than 737ng or a320 rating due to shortage of rated pilot. :ok::)
|
@ fareez36 you think I should talk to them about the upgrade to Lhs during my interview?
|
Foreigners won't get command in any airline in Indonesia, except for Lion as far as I've heard
|
Hello guys hope you are doing well. Did anyone apply for the Garuda CRJ 1000 first officer position? The vacancy is still available yet i got an email from them that they put all FO applications on hold for the time being
