Just wandering if AirAsia is still/again hiring DEC(Expat)... It has been very quiet now for a while, and as they recently announced further Expansion of their Fleet, they probably need Pilots soon...

There was alot of Local hi hour FO's up for Upgrade and doubt that has changed since I left a while back. Mind you some of the D,head management was also cleaned out then to. The website is worth checking out.

it seems like Air Asia is having some shortage of pilots as they CXLD some of their flights to Saudi Arabia in the month of Dec.




Also seems like they are bringing new aircraft into their fleet.

DEC Returning Malaysian Experienced Captains
 

AA & AAX should consider experienced narrow and wide body DEC with a Higher Basic Starting Salary of Year 8th (AA&AAX) onwards to entice them to return home, which can assist to overcome their shortage of Captains.

AA Malaysia, India, Phillipines or Thailand?

AAX is Air AsiaX. AA meaning Malaysia no doubt, Thai AA dont hire Foreigner's for starter's.

Air Asia is AK.

Even though AAX is loosely used for Air Asia Express, it is not official, unsanctioned. M'sia boleh crap. I take the liberty of assigning Express for X in AAX since it is a " carry on " from FlyAsianXpress, as express in " modern aviation lingo " means " low cost ";)

The three letter code AAX is for Araxa airport in Brazil. Comprende?

ATC uses the prefix XAX (Xanadu)
BTW I hope the Flt Ops guys in Air Asia X take note:
3 of your Xanadu flights arrive almost same time
at KLIA with the c/s ending with 7.
XAX547/XAX507/XAX527 (not too sure of
the flight numbers but very sure it ends
with the number 7. This can lead to c/s confusion.
Not good for ATC and pilots.:ugh:

AirAsia (AK) is AXM.

The Malaysian group needs the pilots (both AK and D7), the problem is the Govt. It's not so simple to come in and get validation anymore (get PR and a local licence then maybe have a chance). Certain Ministeries would appear to be on a crusade to re-nationalise the industry (or at the very least reign in the concessions of the past) in the National interest. Agree with it or not, that's the current reality. The hopefuls in the wings have gotten the ear of the Govt and the eyes of the media.
