VOR Holdings as Agent

I will recommend anybody who is trying to find a contract that PLEASE DONT USE VOR AS AGENT!!! If you sign a contract with VOR you all will be I jail for the rest of your career. They will never let you leave the company and they don't provide any services only pay roll services. But any other assistance forget about it!!! At the beginning when they want you to sign a contract with them they will promise earth and heaven. BUT AFTER YOU BITE THE HOOK FORGET ABOUT EVERY THING!!! :ugh::=:=

VOR sues a Pilot 30k for trying to resign.

I share this information with the intent to make every Pilot aware of what can happen if you try to terminate your contract with VOR. $30,000 in legal fees plus the cost of defending yourself. I think the best action is to never sign up with this company.

VOR HOLDING IS A SCAM !

To All

If you are looking for a job in China, stay away from VOR Holdings. Most of the ads they have a fictitious, only with the intent to get your attention and send you to some other job (if in fact they have any). Bottom line: Ignore, block and disregard any info received from this scam company. Funny enough owned by an american! Shame in him..

Hi guys...

I have some friends who are thinking about taking that FO position in China + upgrade after 1000hrs.

Any thoughts on that ?

Is VOR holdings all that bad ?

latetonite 19th Jun 2014 19:58

You are 26, F/o, and expect an upgrade after 1000 hrs? On an airliner?
No wonder those agencies get what they want. This pilot community is full of lunatics.

Lateonite...

I'm sorry, but I'm afraid you missed the point on my question.

Definitely, I'm not the one going there. As I said, I'm asking in the name of a FRIEND who's thinking about taking this opportunity.

What I was TOLD is that for EXPERIENCED FOs, after 1000hrs flying for the chinese airline, there would be an upgrading chance. I don't know if this is the real deal and that's why I'm asking here.

If I'm not wrong, you work for FZ, right ? I'm much more keen to become a colleague of yours than leaving my actual outfit to work in China.

I'm about to turn 27, but had the luck of start flying the 737 when I was 21, so I quite didn't understand what's the matter with the age.

Happy flying for you, my friend. :ok:

....If you don't count the owner.....VOR holding is an average agency, with young Chinese people working in it most of the time helpful. The owner disappear the minute after you signed the contract:}

Expat captain 21st Apr 2016 09:13

Totally agree about VOR but there is a way to make them back off. Once the contract is over you don't have to renew it. US law doesn't suppport this restriction of having job
In China. One captain hired a lawyer. So at the very last moment befor filing it court they backed off. Because they were explained by judge that they gonna loose

I can recommend smile! PM me if you want. I tried many other agencies........the crew at smile have had my back from day 1. They went above and beyond to get me in while other agencies made excuses and lied to me to suit their agenda.

The Dominican 9th May 2016 17:50

Pardon my ignorance...., Smile?

gtseraf 10th May 2016 07:09

well Dom, we have Peach, Vanilla, Lucky Air in the region, so I guess Smile as a recruiting agent name is not a surprise! ;)

Rotorhead1026 12th May 2016 15:03

This opens up quite a list of possibilities. "Frown Aviation", anyone? How about "Grimace Airways"?

insert_name 17th May 2016 10:40

Hi Dom,

I had a relationship with the airline before I applied so I applied direct with them. After I interviewed they said I needed an agent. When I told them I didn't have a relationship with one already they introduced me to smile. Smile Aviation ? Pilot jobs in ChinaSmile Aviation ? Pilot jobs in China. Smile has been perfect.
