New dgca car india on Alco positive cases

The gist of the new draft CAR for which suggestions are invited by 22 nd nov are
For locals
First offence licence suspended for 90 days
Second offence 2 years
Third offence 5 years
For FATA holders FATA licence will be suspended permanently and the licence issuing authority of the respective country will be informed

Still pretty lax, in this area the DGCA could at least catch up to the rest of the world... although the constant testing is just stupid, more effective if its random.

One day they will realize that there are those things called drugs... I wonder how many Pilots in India are on some sort of illegal drug, high as a kite but perfectly sober. Could you imagine when the DGCA wakes up and start making everyone giving a pee sample before every flight for a drug test :}!!!

I think it's a good rule. But DGCA needs to do a lot more work on it's licensing and verification. I know chaps who are flying around the world with BA positive cases and incidents to their name but for some miraculous reason , it's not there on their Indian licence.
