A person from Delhi(India) has promised to get jobs in cebu through alpha aviation
Hi everyone,
I have completed my cplM with ir from FAA. I was searching for jobs outside India, one day i heard about guy in Delhi offering to get a job in cebu pacific by doing first officer transition program from alpha aviation in Clark, I'm confused a lot abt this program,I want help from the most please This program costs 65000$ Breakage 12000$ while registration 30000$ before leaving to cebu 23000$ after completing typerating They have said that 100% job assured with the salary of 5500$ per month taxable. And it's a 2 years contract with cebu. Soo much confused :ugh: I want to know if this is true or just another trap Any crew from cebu or any member from alpha please help me Thanks in advance Regards |
Dude, why would you even consider doing something like that even if it was legit?
|
ThebigD : thanks for your replay,
There is no other option where people are giving jobs for freshers, with no typerating neither with 250-300 hrs of flying what we get it from our flight school, that's why I considered it |
sabarish i will thread very carefully, P2F is not the right way to go especially if you just got your license
but like you said i know its very hard for new graduates, ask cebu what ac are they offering for you ? and to be honest 65grand seems very steep for 2 year contract . i would read into what cebu are like first and maybe ask around what it is like to work for them?? |
Ask yourself as Cebu Pacific have set up their own school at Clark (with CAE) why would they do anything at Clark with Alpha?
Answers on a postcard please.............. |

No offense dude but with 250-300 hours of TT you have no business flying a jet. There are jobs for "freshers" but an a320/737 is NOT a job for a fresher. It is NOT an entry level job. I know that the market in India is inundated with thousands of fresh CPL holders and few jobs are available. With that being said, how about doing some due diligence before you started undertaking flight training during one of the worst global economic downturns is beyond me. Now you want to screw over qualified FO's that paid their dues, have time on type but can't find a job because LCC's prefer to have p2F patsies sitting in the right seat. And the patsies gladly take these jobs without realizing (or maybe they do) how this is destroying the industry. :* |
Sounds dodgy!!! My advice is to stay away from stuff like this. And as mentioned above, at 250-300 hours a 737 or 320 isn't necessarily the best aircraft to get a start on! There are caravan jobs out there...you just have to look sorta hard to find them! 65000 dollars is a hell of a lot of money to be paying!!! Good luck
|
Cebu Pacific have NO agents or middlemen in India.Biggest middleman of Cebu Pacific is management of airline itself.
65000 $ for what ever you have been told is just waste of time and money of course that to at ALPHA. Don't go for it , they will BEAT you with Bamboo sticks once your fund's go dry in their account. Remember they will BEAT you up !! :ouch::ouch: aeronino Cebu pacific ONLY takes local pinoy as FO. Tough luck buddy! Speedy737 Sounds dodgy!!! My advice is to stay away from stuff like this. If you are so desperate to land a job then visit airport and offices of charter companies. At least you might end up paying way too less for that job you are looking for.Certainly NO 65000 $ ...:= |
Damn. I wouldn't go near that. It has scheme written all over it. Shame on the people who are responsible for this sham.
|
STAY AWAY FROM ALPHA AVIATION !... := later dont say no one warned you..
|
If it really was legit... you could also ask when the sim check (with Cebu itself) would be before you hand over a dime... everyone I know who's got a job with Cebu has had a sim check.
If you're good enough and can get and pass an interview, Cebu hand out jobs directly, not P2F. Also last time I looked, the rating at Alpha was $33k... so effectively even if the program were true, you're paying 32k for hours and a job you could have potentially got yourself. |
For all the fresh CPL holders & low time pilots....
I have completed my cplM with ir from FAA. I was searching for jobs outside India......... .... I'm confused a lot abt this program,I want help from the most please This program costs 65000$ ........ There is no other option where people are giving jobs for freshers, with no typerating neither with 250-300 hrs of flying what we get it from our flight school, that's why I considered it Only way to get job is either on 737 or 320 There are many ways to break into aviation... Ask some people from the previous generation, they will tell you how... For all the Fesh CPL holders who are inclined, here's a few tips...... It will be a little easy for those who have trained in outside India, specially in USA & Canada, you can do a Instructor rating or CFI/ CFII for about $7,000 in USA or for slightly more in Canada. Canada is better coz you can get a work permit relatively easy..... Keep $10,000 in reserves for living expenses, live in a shared accomodation in FL or TX, or BC, it is relatively cheap. Doing your CFI will improve your knowledge & flying skills 10 times & will make you a much better pilot. People always ask me, what to do after CFI/CFII if you do not have a work permit to work full time...... Well, you can't work to get paid as a CFI, but who says you can't fly..... The objective is to build flight time & become a better pilot... One should still hang out at the local airports & NETWORK with the owners of planes who fly in & out of that airport .... Network .... Network ........ Network.... You will find people to fly with as safety pilots initially & then do an occasional BFR or fly withthem if they confidence flying those ILS approaches on a Bad day..... There are a lot of owners who fly in their personal single & twin engine planes & always luv to have the comfort of a CFI sitting with them as a safety pilot. You will build flight time, initailly slowly, but it will keep coming.... It will keep your both knowledge & flying & instrument skills current..... I personally have flown with dozens of people who own their own planes & let me fly with them & log PIC. Sometimes, I share the cost of fuel with some, somtimes I buy lunch, or sometimes, they buy beer for me at the end of the day... Infact they are so happy to see that I am working hard to build flight time & work towards ATPL, they love to help... They call me weeks in advance when they want to fly..... Networking Networking Networking.... No Caravan / GA jobs in India If there was, a corporate or a charter job in India flying a Caravan, P68, Baron, Seneca or a King Air, Who will get hired: A) Guy with 250 hrs, who has not flown in 2 or 3 yrs except a few hours to renew his licence ...... OR B) Guy with 1000, 1500 or 2000 hrs total with 100, 200 or 300 + hrs on a twin, experience flying some glass cockpit A/C, Baron 58, Seneca V, maybe even a King Air or some other turbine aircraft with experience in real life flying, flying in busy airspaces & class B & C, crossing the ocean to go to Bahamas, flying across the mountainin, near icing conditions, flying .... shooting ILS approaches to the minimums. The sky is the limit in what you will experience..... Experience gives you confidence which is reflected in your body language & in the interview.... It is your life, your career...... Go out & do something....... I have seen people just sitting free for years & years, doing nothing but just waiting for that perfect airline job on an Airbus or Boeing, a Job which never comes.... People are just sitting in Delhi or Mumbai or some town in India; drinking everyday & feeling depressed about everything, cursing the DGCA, cursing the airlines & the scene of aviation with NO Jobs, etc etc..... Flying in itself is a great stress relief........It is 10 times better than anything. Remember, this is a tough profession, only the strongest & the fittest (professionally) survive..... Good Luck & be safe. Stay away from these schemes. If something seems too good to be true, it usually IS....... |
If you're good enough and can get and pass an interview, Cebu hand out jobs directly, not P2F. |
Sounds like the same crook who is or hopefully was scamming in LionAir.

Canada is better coz you can get a work permit relatively easy..... Its very easy to gain hours when your citizen of USA but getting work VISA for USA is NIL for anyone from any sector of employment if not properly sponsored by a company and that too if you are in service sectors not aviation.Either wait for green card or 10 years to have right to work there.Same goes for many other countries were aviation is fully developed. Relocating to unknown land needs many considerations and someone who has already spent big chunk of money for basic flying training will first try to land a job than do another course. That's human nature. Find a Caravan job posting from last 5 years in India. There is 5 208A/B in India out which 2 are unworthy to even taxi out of ramp one in Delhi and another in Lucknow.People flying in India's GA crawl towards 75-100 hours in a year if charter compnay is doing good biz in friendly environment on King Air's /Citations /Hawker's which easily out numbers Caravan's.So pick a number of your choice for per yearly hours gained on Caravan's.I can personally say that you will not gain more than 100 hours / year in India's GA plus pay is peanuts. You have yourself given reply about " Why freshers don't get GA jobs in India " in part B ,So no further comment. Sorry but your solution is outdated by at least a decade. The reply or wisdom of words that you provided is evergreen BOOK reply to freshers. It worked earlier but not now & certainly not in Asia or with Indian nationality as you might know getting work VISA for us is different than say people from westernized world gets.Plus when people with multi thousand hours on TYPE are getting laid off or finding difficult for new jobs what chance a freshly cooked license holder has ? Only chance now days is to get rated on 737/320 and wait which is risky but chances are still coming if you are rated. No offence by the way !:) |
There are caravan jobs in India...even for a fresh CPL holder!! Just because you don't see an add in the newspaper doesn't mean it's not there. And so what if they pay peanuts, it's a flying job at the end of the day!! People are happy to fly piston singles on low salaries before even getting a look at a caravan. There are a few small operators around...no harm in dropping your CV in. And for someone willing to spend 65k, well for a few lakhs I'm sure you could pay for type training and get a job with them.
It was the case earlier that people pretty much walked into 737/320, even SO 747!!! But it is tougher now. Look for the GA jobs, get a foot in the door at least and build some hours. You could even move up to corporate jet from there. And once you have a few hundred hours the pay is actually pretty good. |
@ Johny boy
No offence by the way BUT, what do you suggest to the rest of all the 5000 or 6000 unemployed freshers, what should they do ??? Just go & do a type rating & then wait for Indigo, Spice & Jet entry level exams or entrance exam for type rated, compete with 1000 or so people for 5 or 10 slots, which have already been awarded & the exam is an eye wash...... I just don't know what will someone remember 1 or 2 yrs after the type rating.... Forget about Boeing or Airbus, 90% will forget how to track a VOR & basic attitude instrument flying or even how to land a cessna after 3 to 5 yrs of not flying..... All those who want to sit & wait, all those who can afford to do a type rating & then sit & wait, they are more than welcome to do so... I don't have any problem with that either. Over the years, I have seen so many people follow the same pattern, sitting & waiting for a job on Boeing or Airbus to happen for a few years & then, they get tired of waiting or something happens in their life & go completely broke financially, ultimately break & give up on flying completely..... I never said that my advise will work for everyone........ My advise & tips offered are for the few, who decide to take road less taken...... for those want to stay current & proficient, increase the total flying hours & experience, & become a better pilot one day ...... Those who will not shy from working hard & are willing to put in the effort & struggle for their dreams to turn them into reality.... Those who are willing to sacrifice the comforts of their home & go to a foreign country & are prepared to live however they have to, eat $1 Ramen noodles 2 times a day & live in their car & shower at the beach & sleep on the FBO couch, if they have to do so..... Such people are called dreamers, strugglers & achievers.. My advise, sympathy & guidance is for such people ..... Everyone else can go back to the regular proramming.... Watch the Saas Bahu etc etc ... :) |

There are a few small operators around...no harm in dropping your CV in. And for someone willing to spend 65k, well for a few lakhs I'm sure you could pay for type training and get a job with them. There is NO Caravan job in India right now ,there never have been any Job on that type for last 5 years.Last time it happened , south east shuttles took 2 pilots with one being ex-susi air. But there is job on B200 /Cessna jets /Hawkers but those are given to defence SSC pilots ,not to freshers or should i say not for common man without any reference. Hawker and Cessna Jet's rating cost you more than 737/320 with limited job opportunity so what will go for a rating which will land you nothing atmost or rating on which you can atleast sit for airline exams ?Still rating without any LOI or assurance is risky. Food for you , drop and visit every charter operators. They will only call you if you pay them for rating and hours on type....you see desi P2F.If not you then they move on to next harry who will eagerly pay them double of what they are asking. That's India for you. pilotbaba I am not suggesting to go for rating just because you will be a level above rest of crowd.Thing is people will go after what's in demand and right now its either P2F without any future or rating with limited future. Going for rating is way better than lowering whole aviation's acceptance level low by doing pay job. Not all exams for freshers are rigged and certainly not Indigo /Jet , Spice is scamjet. Rated pilots jobs in Indigo / Jet depends on what you know rather whom you know while sitting for 15-30 minutes SIM checks. Rated pilots from 2010 onwards have been called or got jobs more than non rated ones.Yes many of them are either on stipend or on training since joining but they are employed just because they had rating with proper knowledge.Still that's not justified to go for Type rating afterall, all that matter is what you know at the time of exam and believe me donkey's with any exotic rating will not get job. Many of my batch mates or friends have joined Jet / Indigo as freshers or zero hours type rated and knowing their background i can safely say none had reference other than being excellent skilled pilots. Most of them are First Generation pilots. Will any Asian country give chance to fresher from India with ZERO hours on type or bare minimum CPL without doing a P2F slavery ? Last time when i tried to get job overseas , first destination was bush flying in Africa where max work VISA i could get was 30 days for Botswana and 15 days for Namibia...and guess what it was some good years back when locals vs foreigners was not even remotely observed in Africa.Ask for VISA for those bush flying countries now and you will be placed on temporary rejection list. Canada is place to gain experience with zero stress but then many different complex considerations come into life, so its more personal choice. It would have been better from you to provide how to work in overseas in legal way rather than bookish " Do it like this " view. |
Stay away from the owner of UM aviation in delhi its a scam
