Airasia India P2 time ?

hey guys ! a small query regarding filling up the Airasia india online application , they are asking for P1, P2 and P1/US time ? I'm confused about P2 time ? what exactly is it ?? is it the normal DUAL time that can be logged as P2 ? or P2 is not applicable for C182 and partenavia ? kindly reply.. a lot of people are scratching their heads over this ...

Leave it blank/zero. P2 is F/O time. Since both those types are not certified two crew, no P2 applicable. Good luck

@av8r76

While P2 time is definitely not the same as DUAL , I have seen many airline applications that add the P1 , P1 U/S and P2 to arrive at total time

So in the application form for Air Asia if a 200 hour CPL holder only fills 100 hours of PIC ( P1 ) time the airline might read that as only having logged 100 hours total time while shortlisting the candidates.

Hence the reason for the confusion....

@cyril my confusion exactly , so what do you reckon I should fill my dual time in ? P1/us or p2 ?

In the application one has to mention Indian licence number and type. Since Indian CPL requires min 200 hrs it might be assumed that the applicants total flying time is min 200 hrs. P1 P1 US and P2 might just be there for them to shortlist on the basis of experience. :hmm:

@cyrilroy21..............Well seems quite unlikely,because the form also mentions Licence number at the beginning just before the column where hours have to be filled.And you don't get a commercial Licence unless u have atleast 200 hours of total flying time.So its but obvious that if a candidate has mentioned only his PIC hours and not his dual he still is a commercial pilot with more than 200 hours of total flying time as per DGCA.
Or else they would have most certainly included a column "dual" or something of that sort in the form.
