List of airlines in Asia
Hey guys, I was hoping to get a list of airlines in asia to look into for some future employment. I'm an American, grew up mostly in Korea, so I got no problem moving to Asia.
4000 tt 2300 multi 500 turbine pic - military king air 1000 turbine sic - us 121 turboprop 4yr degree. Any places that would take me with this kind of time? I saw a lot of places require time on type. :ugh: just looking to name a couple places that aren't the equivalent of a sweatshop or a us regional, so I can check out their information. Thanks guys. |

Try your luck with Qatar or Emirates and read some of the other material for a more comprehensive list.

Take a job with a US regional and get some jet time, then head to Asia.
Do a web search for pilot career centre, all addresses are there. |
I'll trade it for a list of airlines in North America... :ok:

Wikipedia has a huge list with airlines sorted by country, continent, TR, its up to you then to choose the one that fits you best, then it comes to check one by one, and try to reach their HR by e-mail l:ugh: but do not expect any reply by mail.
Agencies is another option in Asia but with no TR and enough hours...chances are slim. Good luck anyway. |

Try Tiger Singapore, they are currently taking FO's with turbine/ military experience but no jet time... have to self fund a TR though, not sure if you have to get the TR before you apply.

hey guys, thanks for the responses. I will keep looking. FYI I updated my total time from 3000 to 4000. typo! just went through all my resumes to make sure I didn't screw those up either.
Anyways, I doubt the 1,000 hours makes the difference, but it seems the only thing I have found that doesn't require type rating is Air Japan FO 767. The only minimums I don't meet for that is the 1,000 hours commercial jet. I don't believe the Lear60 counts as commercial jet, but just to confirm, commercial jet does mean transport category, correct? as for the us regionals, no thanks. I've already played that game for several years. It was a turbo prop operator, so that's where I missed out on the jet time. Still not worth the $25k/year + commuting. I'll just be patient, and enjoy paying my bills on time. :) |
