I asked a friend of mine who was inducted a type rated candidate back in Dec 2010 / Jan 2011

And this is what he had to say

Basic 737 tech. They have introduced GD for type rated induction. CPL questions can't be predicted. Depends on the paper set

i got the mail. started off with CBT and FCOM. i reckon 10 days is good time to brush up and start recollectin things!:ok:

In the email it hasn't been mentioned if the results will be declared on the same day or not. Assuming they do declare it the same day, do the further assessments happen the very next day or would it happen sometime later?

nevergiveup27 7th Feb 2013 10:41

Guys I had a word with one of my Friends who work at Jet, There will be only written examination on 17th Feb & people who clear the examination will be called later at a particular date for the further assessments/Interview.

Also if anybody is appearing for the exam who lives in Delhi and would like to share hotel accommodation in Mumbai for 1 day & study together please let me know. My plan would be to arrive on 16th afternoon and depart back to Delhi on 17th evening.
Please PM if interested. Thanks & best of luck to everybody. :ok:

Anybody who appeared last yr in writtens n cudnt clear, receive a call again for written on 17th? Or is it just for fresh TR applicants??

cyrilroy21 8th Feb 2013 16:43

Jet Airways usually calls candidates again even if in the past they failed a certain part of the assessment process .

In the Jan 2011 recruitment for non type rated they called those who failed the GD in 2010 to come directly to the GD round again

cynicalczar2001 9th Feb 2013 09:12

so theyv called the non type rated batch of pilots who failed the GD the last time, to the GD this time? how do u know that>? n im presumin that u kno when the GD is then?

cyrilroy21 9th Feb 2013 09:36

@cynicalczar2001

I was referring to the Non type rated exams conducted in 2010 and 2011

Those who failed the GD round in 2010 were called in 2011 for the GD round directly which already took place in August 2011

when was this vacancy out

avicon 11th Feb 2013 06:27

This is slightly off topic, but does anyone know the fleet type for upcoming Air Kerala. (or is it Kerala Air).

I heard from one person they will bring in six 737NG aircraft to start with and intent to expand with further 737's.

cyrilroy21 11th Feb 2013 06:37

Avicon

Air Kerala is still in project phase . They have not even applied to the Ministry for an NOC nor have they mobilised the minimum funds needed to start the airline

The bone of contention is that a scheduled airline needs 5 years and 20 aircraft in order to fly abroad which is the minimum as required by MoCA

Air Kerala wants this clause removed just like the govt did for Air India express . They have asked the Ministry to remove it but as of this writing I dont think that has been approved or rejected .

It still a long long time before any movement happens with Air Kerala

I had not cleared the written exam last year and got a call this time..

dg737 13th Feb 2013 07:51

@sky - did they ask performance and FMC QUEST last year....little help will be appreciated

skycalling 14th Feb 2013 14:05

no they did not ask any performance or fmc questions... they focussed more on other vol 2 chapters n qrh...

tolip111111 17th Feb 2013 16:03

How was the exam guys? Inputs will be appreciated..

nevergiveup27 17th Feb 2013 18:20

The written exam was surprisingly very easy compared to the Jet's standard. Now the question arises as to what would they set their cut off for passing, as quite majority of people could have scored above 80%?

Johny Boy 17th Feb 2013 18:28

Rumour is that Jet is going to take 15-20 pilots from them and may be keep some more in pool of rated pilots for future.
Some more accurate info will be appreciated

Keen84 18th Feb 2013 05:50

Last year they sent the results out on the same day by evening! And the call letters after 3 days for the Assessment centre rounds to be held after 7days from the call.

Anybody hear anything on results?
