hello

Troll or just hasn't bothered to do a search

MrHorgy 26th Oct 2012 18:16

Go and put all the money you plan on giving a Line Training company on Red or Black at the casino - for that's about the equivalent level of risk to what your asking us to suggest. At least when you walk into a casino you know the risks and the casino won't change the odds mid game!

'Internship' program...ROFL
Because of such daft people, Aviation is where it is today.

Interinship

My advise go for eagle jet 1000 hrs turbo props for Indian students at least that will bring ur total close to Atpl requirement.

GE90-115B 4th Nov 2012 07:53

How will 250 hrs + 1000 hrs bring you close to ATPL Requirement ?? One needs 1500 total time and mind you only half of your SIC (p2) time counts towards your ATPL experience requirements. ++ there are a plenty of unemployed kingfisher pilots with 500 - 1000 hours ++ on type experience on A320 and ATR72. ps. 1000 hours pay to fly ?? a 100 thousand US Dollar deal ?? :ugh::mad:

CAPTAIN WOOBLAH 4th Nov 2012 09:37

Why don't you throw your goodself into the spinning N1 of a Trent 800! It's people like you that have screwed aviation!!:\

What an attitude from a pilot that is faster than a speeding building.

VT-ASM 4th Nov 2012 10:24

Well said capt. Wooblah...
But why jack up the poor Trent ? The deepest pit of the deepest abyss is the best place for him !
I would not be surprised if there comes a day when such 'pilots' will pay airlines to let them fly their planes.
Elangovan, you are right...You are a CPL holder.....Just that..
I will rip apart the 'confusion' in your head...
Stay at home !

Im not going to defend you nor attack you because we,re kinda in the same situation...but you need to understand something....sometimes,this forum is not the best place to get advice specially when your dealing with some old wack mad pilots that hate p2F to death.
I graduated from a well know university in the us,type rated on 737(all model)
Got hours on turbo props, and now jobless.
How long am i going to wait???i dont know!!
cant get a job nowhere..if you think that you can join them p2F buddy,go for it,dont wait for nobody to tell you what to do.
As a Pilot sometimes you need to take good decision!!
P.S:

SUBJECT IS CLOSED

p2f

My two cents:

P2F schemes are just so wrong. The funny(surprising) thing is Indian carriers don't do it and I think it's to do with the Ministry of Labour( labour laws). I can easily see most of the carriers going that way if it was allowed and that would be the end of a salaried FO job in India.

I can see the marketing guys in these P2F airlines rubbing their hands together saying, OH I've got 300 Indian 19 year olds ready to spend 100,000 USD each of their daddys money to keep the FO seat warm , internship ? More like paid slavery.
These airlines are also to be blamed and feel sorry for the captains/trainers over there.Hope it doesn't start in India but I wouldn't bet on it not happening here.
Masalama.

The First Officer position is a Job and I still dont understand why do u want to pay to work ?? Especially knowing when you are not going to benefit by what you are paying for. Just look around .. there are plenty of KFA FOs with 1000 hours on A320/ATR72 experience on type with out a job what are you going to do with your 300 hours on A320 or 737 ?? No airline would even consider you if they come to know you are one of those P2F guys. If you are serious about aviation and dont have a job yet utilize this time to clear your ATPL papers.

ps. There are good chances an airline will consider you with ATPL papers cleared more than the pay to fly fellows.

GE90-115B 6th Nov 2012 06:00

Join a flight school as a AFI or Ground Instructor. Look for jobs beyond India even if it means bush flying in Kenya. If absolutely nothing works out pick out a position in Flt Ops of an airline just to remain in the industry.
