Are you serious China!!!

Reasonable article....China for the chinese....What is flawed in that theory?
|
Expect foreign pilots to continue at same level, or increase for the next 5-10 years... At least.
|
"Domestic skies will not become a place where inexperienced foreign pilots can boost their flying hours to make their resumes more impressive"...
That's right, let's leave those skies for inexperienced CHINESE pilots. |
Today's social media-savvy society will make it all the more difficult to cover up mistakes made during the steep learning curve, as these new, inexperienced chinese pilots transit to becoming experienced crews.....Then, some outsider help may just be seen as welcome again...:ok:

BullS%&t...
But the true is more and more are beeing failed during the screenings... A320 |
Foreign defense
contract capts should be properly qualified, then demand high salaries and perks, if not, leave all these wannabe aviation countries on thier own, and let there own "unqualified and unexperienced" pilots splatter thier own country side.:*

Lets not get to wound up about this ! It's a peice aimed squarly at the domestic audience . It's a huge market and it belongs to them . They need pilots and there training hard and fast but the industry is growing faster still . They do things their way but they have come along way in a very short time .
|
The've come a long way alright...they don't kill as many people now that they have brand new Airbus's and Boeing's.

Shanghai-based Juneyao Airlines was penalized last year after a foreign captain it hired refused to give way for an emergency landing of a Qatar Airlines flight. The incident triggered heated debate. "Some skilled and experienced foreign pilots will continue working for Chinese airlines, and they will become the backbone of these carriers. Some of the less skilled foreign pilots will be gradually phased out." Kind of like flying with the Koreans as most of the time you are single-piloted. And then, to top it off, when you get into Western countries where the english is spoken and high density air traffic, not only are you single piloted, you are handling the radios as well. This is an unforgiving business and they will learn the hard way. And learn again, and again. But hell, who cares, they have over a billion people, what is a few thousand. |
Not really musch of a story. it just says that China will take only experienced pilots and through more thorough checks, make sure they have the experience and qualifications they claim. They will need more ex-pats as the aviation market expands - and they will get the quality they require as they pay well.
The inquiry after recent(ish) fatal crash of a regional jet fond the Captain (ex Chinese Air Force) had padded his hours. This prompted a countrywide probe into experience claimed and a lot of fraudsters were found - some of them ex-pats. I wouldn't expect anything different. |
Yeah it was an Embraer crash in NE China 2 years ago. The Captain under a lot of political pressure to make it in during bad weather as there was a VIP on board. Captain was ex Chinese military and they found he padded his hours. The airlines are under so much pressure to find pilots they were encouraging it. Chinese military pilots fly very little. I have never seen a Chinese military aircraft, of any type, ever leave the landing pattern. When they do their monthly touch and goes the airport is closed due to "military activities".
Big investigation they found that most Chinese military pilots had padded their hours to get a job, under the encouragement of the airlines and government. "Parker hours" were encouraged so they could fill their cockpit seats. |
