How about you ring Pan AM:rolleyes:

They are saying yes "we do have a course as per dgca syllabus".. I spoke to them..
But you know dgca, it is always better if someone has gone and endorsed recently..
Because now we do not need a noc also before going for type rating, so that has done no good to the students..

So why dont u read that Training Document that DGCA released which clearly states the requirements for A320 - B737, ATR etc.

Just go by the syllabus written there and i am sure you would not be given any problem by the DGCA. That is the same information that would have been on your NOC.

Check the CAR's - Section 7 - Part 19

The second thing is making sure the TRTO syllabus is approved by DGCA. That you could confirm with the TRTO you are going to, if they have submitted the requisite syllabus etc.

By the way, how much have they quoted you for the TYPE?
Last i remember HPA was charging $21,500 for the DGCA specific type.

Good Luck

Hi I'm not aware of Panam but I did my A320 type rating according to dgca syllabus from Germany. There are 2-3 good schools in Germany that provide 320 rating according to dgca.

YES

I have completed TR from panam. what you u want to know about it?>

pilotbaba 14th Apr 2013 02:39

A few questions that will help everyone:

1) When did you do the TR from PANAM?
2) How much did it cost?
3) Did you require extra training / sim sessions?
4) How hard or easy was it to get it endorsed on Indian CPL?
5) If you needed any extra docs, how good was PANAM with after sales service, meaning helping you with paperwork after finishing the course?
6) How was your overal experience & how would you rate PANAM?

Its a type rating your buying, not a toyota

Capt.Morrgan 14th Apr 2013 04:26

you can sell your toyota back if you don't like it much by incurring a little loss, you can't do that with a TR now can you...

^ All good Qs.

Its a type rating your buying, not a toyota
The Toyota comes with a 3 yr 36,000 miles Bumper to bumper warranty.

Toyotas last a lifetime......

Toyota also comes with a customer satisfaction survey, every Toyota Dealership want to make sure they don't get a negative rating or unsat comment from the buyer.......

Does any TRTO offer that kind of customer service???

So the buyer beware......

PanAm

PanAm does not sell training, the sell licenses. You'll get the paper that says you know how to fly it. But when you go to do an assessment for a job, the examiner will more than likely send you home early.

I have used PanAm for both 37 and 320, as well as instructed there.

There are many good schools out there that will teach you how and then write you a license. If you are seriously considering a career in this game, then get a good foundation to build on. You will not get that at PanAm.

If you want quality then go pay 40k at Lufthansa, what do you expect for 7995usd, to pass at cathay
