The big fight for 787s? Really? Are the 777s that bad? Thats step motherly treatment to you?

its not because they dont like 777's its because of the seniority issue
the 777's of AI are now a money crushing machine of our money(taxpayer's).
they are now planning to phase out these aircraft

So now the 787 guys will top the seniority list (yes,the ones who are selected right now ) and the late 787 pilots will have to wait for their training as there will be no 777 left in AI's future

the same thing happened in IC when a320 got inducted
the senior 310 pilots were under the New A320 captains in seniority because A320 is their main fleet now.

It easy to knock down someone without actually knowing what make sense. There is nothing to be ashamed of, its all for the betterment of the airline.

So basically there's no heirarchy system you mean ?

Air India is not an airline. It is a taxpayer funded flying circus.

When the senior 777 guys get phased out will they not go by date of hire to the 787 and therefore be above all the AI pilots ?

That's a very intriguing question V. The only problem is you are asking the wrong folks this question. I would put this up with the owners of this airline. And you are actually entitled to an answer from the owners because it's you who voted for them.:}
And while you're at it can you also get some real answers from them about everything else that ails this country.
